If you are looking for a charming centralized point to call home base during your visit to Ireland, this wonderfully converted barn is just the place! There are six great bedrooms all with en suites, beautiful family room with fireplace, great kitchen area, and because it is a working farm, beautiful horses, chickens etc. Our host Tony Was awesome. Tony provide great ideas of things to see and places to go. He delivered fresh eggs from the farm in the mornings. The farm is near quaint little towns where we were able to see local pubs, restaurants, shopping, etc. There are two challenges to this stay. First wi-fi was difficult to stay connected. This makes it very challenging to search travel plans, activities, stay connected to home, etc. Have a smartphone with Internet service to avoid having to use the wi-fi. Second, because of the radiators being used to circulate hot water to the house it was very hot upstairs in the bedrooms. Tony said he needed to figure this one out. We were also there June week one with incredibly warm weather (unusual for Ireland, awesome for our trip).
Overall, highly recommend. Pictures of the place do not do it justice, beautiful place with INCEDIBLE host.
Tony is a consumate host with a servant's heart, warm demeanor, and quick wit. Breakfasts were superb and made with fresh ingredients picked straight from the on-site garden. Tony easily ranks at the top among the dozen or so hosts we've stayed with over the years.
