About this listing
Beautiful apartment in an 1880's converted historic warehouse, right in the heart of one of Melbourne's great neighbourhoods, located just off Smith Street, Collingwood.
Spacious, light-filled and with a rough, industrial charm, the apartment is open-plan. There is a large kitchen / dining space and an equally sizable living room space with a mezzanine level. This is where you will sleep! The double bed (on the mezzanine) is made up with fresh linen and there's also hanging space for your clothes.
The space has huge north and east facing windows, 4m high ceilings and timber floorboards. The bathroom is new and compact with a walk in shower, great fixtures and fittings and towels provided. An old free-standing claw-foot bath tub in the kitchen is perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring!
There is also a security entrance with lift access, although it's only a short flight of stairs up to level two.
Our place is ideal for a couple or those traveling solo and spending some time in Collingwood is a must!
The Apartment comes equipped with WiFi, TV/DVD, ipod/iphone player, washer, iron & ironing board and a fully-equipped kitchen. As mentioned we leave fresh linen and towels for your stay. Once you're all booked in, make sure to check out our house manual on our air bnb profile to get the wifi code and general info on using the apartment.
Interaction with Guests
You will have to whole place to yourself! We generally try to keep our interaction to a minimum so you can enjoy your stay in peace. However, we do love meeting our guests on arrival and are always on call for any advice/help that you might need. We'll also email you a more comprehensive guide of our favourite things to do in the area!
The apartment is located just a few minutes walk to Smith Street, Gertrude Street and Brunswick Street - the best coffee, food and wine is at your doorstep. Check out De Clieu, Proud Mary, Mina·no·ie, Rockwell & Sons, Huxtable (and Huxtaburger!), The Grace Darling Hotel, and Gorski and Jones. Not to mention great galleries and vintage furniture shops - Gertrude Contemporary Gallery, Dianne Tanzer, Smith Street Bizarre, Angelucci, the list goes on!
Fitzroy and the City are a short stroll away, but if you don't feel like the 20 minute walk into town, you could hire a bike - Our friend has a vintage bike hire company called The Humble Vintage. The number 86 tram (from Smith Street) also heads into town.
We love our place and our belongings so we would ask that you would be respectful of our home and and love it as much as we do! We would love for you to leave it in the same condition you found it.
There is no smoking in our apartment.
Please don't entertain or bring anyone else home outside of who the booking was made for. We want to stay friends with our lovely neighbours!
Please do not publish photographs of our space that serve commercial purposes - if you wish to do so please ask us first.
Lastly more than a request than a rule - but we would very much appreciate it if you could water our family of plants throughout your stay!
