Hello Travelers! Welcome to Seattle! First, I want to thank you for taking the time to read what I offer here. I get so many requests and questions a day so please take your time to read my description because I think it will answer most of your questions and it will speed up the approval.
This is a room in a house. This room includes private parking if you ask in advance. This room does not have a lock n key. If you get lock your room door by mistake, you pay for the locksmith. I also have a room with twin beds and private parking. You can use the kitchen. Living room is not open to guests. This house is approx. 25mins (rush hour traffic 45 mins) from Seatac Airport and 7 mins from downtown by car.
This is a room near the Volunteer Park area, upper Capitol Hill, most desirable area to live in in Seattle. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, flexible check-in and check-out times, a neighborhood known for its diversity and entertainment and a friendly host, you have come to the right place.
Please read: Cancellation Policy: STRICT (do not request a room till you are sure of your dates, you may not get a refund if you make changes later)
And House Rules.
If you have a large heavy bag I do not recommend my place. Please do not request this room.
To get a quick approval:
Please upload a good close-ups of your face and a check-in time for me when you request a room. This is safety for all guests staying. Airbnb also recommends that you have a good photo. Also, I would like to see at least one good review from a host but that doesn't mean you are guaranteed an approval from me. You will be declined immediately if there's not a photo or check-in time. You must let me know the time you will arrive at my door. Because I let you determine the time, I expect you to be on-time (not early, not late). I am just one person running this so please be considerate of my time. I will be reviewing you on your check-in time.
I expect a call if there's an emergency and you can't make it on-time. For all those coming from another country and without a phone, I don't expect you to be on time so don't worry too much about the above.
I do not go by your verification with Airbnb, it does not confirm for me who you are. I would rather have a clear photo of your face and head. No sunglasses or hats. A color photo please.
If you try to give me your social media site or work website Airbnb will BLOCK it. Same with telephone numbers and emails.
Once payment is complete you will receive confirmation with my address, phone number and more detailed directions to my place from Airbnb. I prefer all communications right by phone once you are confirmed. I do not call or text outside of the U.S. Once your booking is confirmed, I prefer all communication on the phone. Do not email me. I am very busy with answering new requests everyday so you may be waiting a while for me to respond.
Transportation to my place:
If you are coming from Seatac airport, you can take the sound transit link to my neighborhood Capitol Hill. Purchase a one way ticket for $3.00 or you can put any value on an orca card which will be good for buses, street cars, sound transit link, trains and ferries to the islands. You can purchase the card from the sound transit link machine at the airport or a supermarket in my neighborhood.
I don't recommend getting a orca card if you're just staying a few days because it costs $5.
Two blocks away you will find a 24 hour supermarket called QFC with a complete bakery, pharmacy, liquor selection and books/magazine. Behind QFC is Capitol Hill's only branch library providing free use of computers and internet.
Chase Bank, Bank of America, US bank and many other local banks are just a couple of blocks away.
I'm also just 2 blocks to the Volunteer Park, the most beautiful park in Seattle. There are several attractions in the park; a tropical plant conservatory, the Seattle Asian Art Museum, children's playground (under construction) and a historic brick water tower which offers commanding views of the downtown skyline and the surrounding mountains. You will also find Seattle's oldest and most expensive mansions.
Next to the park is one of Seattle's oldest cemeteries, resting place for Seattle's founding pioneers and also where famous martial artist and film actors Bruce and Brandon Lee are buried.
I have these rules to make this is a safe, comfortable and enjoyable place for everyone to stay. If you don't agree, please stay at another Airbnb. Every host has different rules.
I will need to make a copy of your driver's license or passport for verification as soon as you arrive. No outside visitor's allowed in the house. No cooking in the kitchen. You can use the fridge, microwave and toaster oven. No taking baths, only showers. Please take off shoes at the entrance. I would like to keep stairs and floors free from dirty shoes. Slippers will be provided. Thank you for your understanding.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.

I love traveling and sharing with travelers the best of Seattle.
I am here to make sure that you have a comfortable stay. The most important is good communication between you and me. At the end of your stay, I would like to be able to give you a good review and vice versa. I put a lot of thought into the description of my place because I want to make sure you understand what is offered in this beautiful neighborhood.
As for my place, the rooms are minimally decorated for your comfort but tasteful and useful for your needs. I enjoy helping my guests plan their day around town. I do my best to accommodate as I understand that it can be their first and only time that they visit Seattle. I also like to promote Vancouver, BC because it's my favorite city and only 3 hours from here by car. If you're interested, let me know and I'd be happy to help you with your trip to Vancouver.
