The space

Quiet, private room with comfortable queen size bed and private bath in no pet, non-smoking, low carbon footprint household. Enjoy the ocean view, fireplace and kitchen. Go for great walks-We are within walking distance to the Elfin Forest and Estero/Morro Bay and 5 miles from beautiful Montana de Oro. Also 12 miles from the city of San Luis Obispo. Nearby is Morro Bay with great seafood and not too far away is Hearst Castle, wine tasting and the elephant seals. The Central Coast has it all.

Our house is decorated in an eclectic blend of world cultures from our travels to Bali, China, Japan, Nepal, Mexico, Guatemala, and Europe. We hope you enjoy it.

Los Osos/Baywood is a quiet residential community surrounded by natural beauty and is the gateway to the incredible Big Sur Coast of CA.

Guest access

Entire house, kitchen to use if you need it.

Interaction with guests

We are available to talk and also respect guests wishes for privacy, if needed.

The neighborhood

Baywood is a community of Los Osos. It is older houses near the Bay-great for walking, bird watching, enjoying the scenery. Our neighborhood is a mixture of funky and upgraded houses (we've had a moratorium on building since 1985). It's quiet, safe and although it's a mile walk to the nearest pub or restaurant, it's a great walk! Night life is pretty non-existent-you can always go to Morro Bay or San Luis Obispo.

Getting around

Public transportation is available but not really convenient-bus every hour to SLO.

Other things to note

One of our neighbors is doing a complete home re-model and things can look a bit like a construction zone at times.

Paula's place is nice. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. They have some interesting art work. The location is great. A few minutes from the bay. The town is pretty small but the people are friendly. San Luis obispo is relatively close. We made the drive for dinner and it was a breeze. Paula is such a nice host. She is very accommodating and helpful. She gave us lots of tips to get around and tips on things to see. It was very nice of her to make her house so accessible to us. This was a weekend getaway for my girlfriend and I and we couldn't have been more please with our visit.

Paula was a great host. Very friendly and had interesting conversations with. The space was very warm, comfortable, and clean. They had great information pamphlets and printed info for you in the room. We would definitely try to book this place again if we get another chance. You must check out Sylvester's Burgers if you get the chance. Their burgers were amazing. We had the Mango Habanero Burger and the Black and Bleu Burger. Very different styles, but both very good.

My boyfriend and I stayed with Paula for two nights to visit Morro Bay, Montana de Oro, and some other sights along the Central Coast. It was a nice comfortable room, and we had a bathroom to ourselves as well. Overall a very peaceful and relaxing stay!

Paul and I are a young older couple, who love to travel, meet new people, enjoy the outdoors, love to take pictures, go for walks on the beach, and have a glass of wine from time to time.
