Interaction with Guests
I will most likely be present during your stay. I'm generally a fairly busy person, so I won't spend much time talking your ear off. But I am more than happy to answer any questions you have about the space, the neighborhood, or the Bay Area in general. My hope is that you have the most pleasant stay possible.
Yes, there is public transit. Also, this is California, so it's not terrific, especially down here on the Peninsula (that's what we call this part of the Bay Area). I'll be assuming you have a car with you. And if not, I want to hear all about the wild adventures you've been having without one.
I'm pretty easy-going. I tend to keep a late schedule, so as long you're not playing loud music in the morning, we should be fine!
There is no smoking in the house. Electronic cigarettes are fine, I just ask that you keep it to your room. Everything else, please do it in the backyard.
If I'm home and in my room, I have a pretty simple system:
Open door = feel free to knock, say hi!
Closed door = try again later.
And you can also email/text if you have any questions or need help, whether I'm home or not.
Reggie... he is a wonderful host. He was so helpful as I did not have a car. The neighborhood was nice and I was able to walk to the corner store. This was my first experience with an airbnb host. Reggie is so kind and I felt safe in his home. I was there for surgery and a few hosts had turned me down. Reggie didn't and my stay was rather unconventional as it entailed so many medical appointments and then my surgery. However, he went above and beyond and allowed my friend to stay on my fourth night there, until we left. He also accommodated my need to leave early and was just gracious in all that he did. His house was perfect for me and the bedroom pictures do not do it justice. A dresser is now in between the twin beds. There is an awesome air massage chair and it helped me relax before sleep. The bathroom is nice...lots of room for two people. :) I have to return to CA for a post op appointment and I hope I can stay with Reggie again. I would recommend Reggie to anyone. My appointments were in Palo Alto, but he was close enough to make everything work perfectly. As a first time user of this site, I could not have found a more friendly host. I was sad to not get the chance to thank him and say goodbye in person.
Thanks so much for writing this, Melissa. I was sad that I couldn't be there to see you off. I thought of you often while I was away, hoping that you were feeling okay post-operation. I'm glad to hear that you made it back safely. Again, thanks for writing this, Melissa. I was touched to read it.
Reggie is the most wonderful host I've ever met. His house is just as described/photographed & it was a convenient location in reach of everything around the Silicon Valley. I would not only recommend Reggie as a landlord, but also as a person whom you can trust & rely on. Thank you for making our trip to the Bay Area a smooth transaction!
