  • We had never tried airBnB before, when we booked a week in Ilarias apartment, but this will definitely not be our last booking.

Ilarias apartment catches the essence of living in Rome. The medieval town of Trastevere where the apartment is located has loads to offer. Many nice restaurants, local bars and beautiful squares is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. The apartment is very clean, spacious and has a wonderful interior design. The kitchen is fairly equipped and the possibility to cook at home is nice to have even though there are many good restaurants nearby. We loved the bedroom upstairs with the "floating bed" and the beds are amazing. We felt very safe in the area. Overall the apartment exceeded our expectations and we would happily stay there again.

Ilaria had made a wonderful guide to museums, restaurants, public transportation and many other things. Her hospitality is amazing and she contacted us several times during the stay to check if there were anything we needed!
If you are going to Rome this is the best place to stay in town.

    Greetings from Copenhagen

  • What a charming flat Iliria's place is - full of character, clean, spacious, located in just the perfect holiday spot that is Trastevere! Absolutely loved staying in Trastevere and within walking distance to so many wonderful local restaurants and historical monuments.

Iliria is a brilliant hostess - even printed out a guide and tips of how to enjoy Rome like a Roman would. She was also very accommodating with my early check in and late check out request. I simply can't recommend Iliria highly enough!

I will definitely be returning to Rome and hope to stay at Iliria's again!

  • This apartment was perfect for our two night stay. Great location, great host, great layout. We brought our 2.5 year old who loved the "flying bed" - albeit under a watchful eye! Popping over to Campo de' Fiori for fresh produce was easy. We cooked some nice meals "at home" as well as sampling the local restaurants. We look forward to being back!

  • We had a lovely time. The flat is gorgeous and cosy, in just the best location for a weekend (or longer in Rome). Ilaria came to meet us on arrival with her husband with a big smiley welcome and was super helpful in advising on where to eat etc...She also gave us a pack of printed advise to visit the city. It felt more than just renting a flat. We felt very welcome. Would go again in a heart beat

  • I stayed in Illaria's apartment with 3 friends and we all absolutely enjoyed our stay! The apartment is lovely and Ilaria is a very nice and helpful host! The location is superb, as well! Plenty of nice restaurants and bars around. I highly recommend Illaria's place! Thank you!

  • We had a fantastic weekend with my mother at Ilarias beautifull apartment! At the very clean and cozy rooms we felt like at home. Ilaria welcomed us very warmly and helped us immediately when we had some questions.
Trastevere is a great place to stay! And this apartment is at the best place of Trastevere. I really recommend it! Thank you, Ilaria, for our best time in Rome!

  • Ilaria was a great host: arranging transportation, walking us through the apartment and checking up on us, providing information on things to eat, do and see and how to get there, etc.

Her apartment is also very nice: a charming old building with a comfy bed in a great location in Trastevere. It's a very short walk to lots of restaurants down one of the cobbled streets. Internet worked great, and the shower was OK.

One thing to keep in mind: it's on the first and second floor, doesn't really have any sound insulation to speak of, and there is some street noise from people at night - so if you're a light sleeper that could be an issue (we were OK). On the upside, that means you don't have a ton of stairs to walk up after walking around town all day.

Would we stay here again on a return trip to Rome? Definitely.

    Response from Ilaria:

Thanks Nathan and say hallo to your wife!!!

  • Trastavere was the perfect place to stay in Rome and Ilaria and Roberto the perfect hosts. The flat is in the "happening" part of Rome, close to good restaurants, bars and shops. The flat is charming but has also been modernised and is well designed. It is clean and has all the amenities required. Information about both the flat as well as the area are set out clearly. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
