My beautiful apartment is available and I've just had it furnished. Photos coming soon. Everything is modern and quite comfortable. Pre-war era building. Original re-exposed brick, beams its beautiful. Perfect location and fully furnished. Includes wifi, cable, linens, towels etc.
The neighborhood is fantastic about 50 feet from the subway, Whole Foods is around the corner and there is plenty to do within walking distance. There's literally everything around you, grocers, bars, restaurants, landmarks, paths, views, history, the neighborhood is amazing.
I may be flexible for arrival or departure times however must be coordinated prior to arrival.
Discounts available for extended stays.
Everything, and be careful please with electronics.
Interaction with Guests
minimal, available if something goes wrong.
Respect the neighbors and the neighborhood. Don't answer the door to anyone you do not know or buzz in random strangers. It's a new york thing, people sometimes randomly buzz apartments.
Smoking outside please. The backyard is a common backyard please share space with the neighbors. Late night partying and noise strongly discouraged.
The apartment was fantastic clean and perfectly located. Bed comfy and shower strong. I never met Edward or his brother, communication was patchy and we ended up with keys being supplied by business down stairs as we were waiting on the doorstep. Sadly we had to leave the apartment open on departure after multiple texts to ask what we should do had no (website hidden) and drinking was difficult as utensils were sparse and there was only 1 pint glass. If you want a perfect spot and a comfy bed then fantastic, but bring your own wine glasses.
This property is in a good location with easy access to all the main attractions of new york and close to food and shopping. The whole foods store is just around the corner and soho shopping a 10 minute walk. We had no trouble getting access. We kept the owner informed of our arrival and waited only 10 minutes to get the key.
The apartment is best for 4 people only as the sofa bed is too uncomfortable to be used. It could be updated. The apartment living area and bathroom are small but modern. A toaster would be good in the kitchen and replenish some of the cutlery and plates.
Decent apartment, but the photos certainly give it a glamorous edge. Both bedrooms are somewhat small, but adequate. Directly above the main bedroom the guy in the apartment above performs a trumpet concerto (by the quality of his playing I'm hoping not for a crowd). Furthermore, multiple homeless men enjoy congregating and sleeping out the front of the apartment. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping a man who's down on his luck but listening to groaning/ vomiting and often screaming isn't overly pleasant. I want to say one night there was some moaning too; but let's not go there.
Anyway I stayed here with my younger brother (18) and girlfriend (21) and apartment was large enough for 3, wouldn't want to have anymore. I may be selling it a little short here but the negatives certainly outweighed the positives. For $300+ a night I think their is some pretty strong competition from other apartments.
I wasn't there for the check in, but I heard it was a bit of a disaster. Edward didn't rock up, (nor did his brother) but my family was met but a lady who didn't seem to know a thing about the apartment.
On the other hand - apart from the exact position on the street the area is great, close to great restaurants bars etc. The rooms are light and the kitchen is aesthetically pleasing although not overly practical (the sink is installed in an awful position on the bench, probably put in by someone as talented as the aspiring musician on the floor above). To wrap it up, stay there for a decent location and a light apartment. If the added elements of homeless men's constant grunting and for a free concert from the tone deaf Mozart above are your thing, contact owner now!!
I'll refrain from a tit-for-tat response.
Homeless congregating. No homeless congregate in front of the building. The building landlord works in the office on the ground floor and insures no one sits out front. Yes, there is one homeless person which wonders the street. His name is Walter and he has "lived" on the street in this neighborhood for the past 10 years. Why? I don't know. He does grunt and moan when he walks. Kinda like a zombie but he is harmless and actually a very nice gentleman if you ever speak to him. Again. My building and many of the buildings around me are some of the most expensive real estate you can rent or buy in the city. This is NYC and there are homeless...welcome to the city.
This is a true two bedroom apartment. With a living room and can easily sleep five persons.
Check in. I ask that everyone call me PRIOR to arriving at the apartment. Give me a 30 minute heads up. Is all I ask. In this case the guests arrived and let themselves in with out even telling me they had arrived yet (I was at work).
Simply put. I'm local and available if anything comes up. Check in is as simple as giving me a call or texting that you are about 30 minutes away and I meet you with keys etc. My brother does help sometimes as I work 2 jobs. I promise all my guests a clean apartment, with towels/linens, and someone available to help if the need should arrive.
Getting in was relatively easy with Ed's brother meeting us there to let us in when we arrived, he was our main contact throughout the visit and his communication was quite good. Apartment was as we expected, clean and relatively spacious for a lower Manhattan apartment. There was a fairly strong smell of bug spray when we arrived (I had read a previous review that said there was a bug problem) but the smell wasn't much of a problem, we just opened the windows for a while and it was gone. - I was just glad not to see any (email hidden) in each room was nice. Ed was very accommodating with allowing us a late check out which was very much appreciated. Overall a great experience.
Our experience was very good, we rent the apartment for 7 night. The apartment was very nice, clean and close to the subway. The inside was the same as we saw in the pictures, with 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and a small bathroom.
There were only three negative things: the shower curtain had mold, the door lock was not working properly and it was necessary to be very careful in how to use the key to avoiding that gets wedged. And we had difficulty communicating with the host and his brother during the stay. We sent several text messages without receiving answers, at the last day he called us back after leaving a voicemail message.
Despite these three things, it was a nice experience.
