The awesome backyard.
Interaction with Guests
I like to meet my guests if I am in the city and 'occasionally' have dropped by for coffee or to pick something up. I'm a lovely host though a forgetful human who loves coffee :)
Chelsea is a century old with a feel like the West Village without the price. Cheslea is near the river, Chelsea Market, Chelsea Piers, Eataly, Transportation - I wouldn't live anywhere else!
Very close to the L, A/C/E, 1/2/3 and B/D/F/M lines. The L will take you to the 4/5/6 and the N/R/Q as well.
Very easy to get to from JFK - take the A/C.
Please respect the neighbors! After 1100p please do not hang out in the backyard, and keep any music low. People can come over for dinner/cocktails, relaxing in the backyard, but there can not be raucous parties. Go out on the town!
NO SMOKING INDOORS. Would prefer not at all, but backyard is an option.
Enjoy the place. It's a great area in an amazing city!
My two sons stayed there for 10 days over Christmas. Grant was wonderful, gave them lots of helpful information about the area and made them feel very welcome. The apartment was lovely, quiet and comfortable and the private outdoor space extra special. The area is great, close to the subways, restaurants, bars, galleries and amenities, and within beautiful walks through Chelsea, West Village and Greenwich Village and of course near the High Line. A lovely oasis away from the busier parts of NY. Our family had a magical Christmas together, thank you Grant.
We felt very welcome in Grant's apartment. Everything was as described verbally and as pictured in the listing. Grant was extremely responsive to any queries we had during our stay, altho he was miles away! The neighborhood is fantastic - great for restaurants, shopping and convenience to subway.
Just enjoyed a 3-day weekend at Grant's apartment in Chelsea. Comfortable apartment with plenty of space for the three of us. And if the weather is nice, there is a wonderful private outdoor space with chairs, table, and grill! Great neighborhood, easy walk to the subway, and a wonderful bakery just a half block away! Finally, Grant told our 15-year old son to feel free to check out the Xbox gaming system, which turned out to be handy when some rainy weather hit!
The apartment is very good located, clean and comfortable. Those are the 3 premises I look for when I am on holidays.
The key pick-up coordination with Grant was efficient.
So I totally recommend his apartment to anyone.

Great modern American cuisine Sunset pours through the walls of windows. Service is great, presentation is meticulous. This is a not a cheap eat, but great for a spendier evening!156 10th Ave New York NY 10011
This is a great Wine/Tapas bar. The bartenders are helpful and the Tapas are delicious. Try to avoid arriving between 700-830 as it is not too large of a place so keep groups to 4 or less.205 10th Ave New York NY 10011
This is a wonderful park built on the old railroad tracks that would bring meat in from Chicago. Its above the city giving you a great view, and the landscaping is on point. A must for first timers835 Washington St New York NY 10014
WellI am biased as my friend works here, but they always have a great selection of contemporary art that is not pedantic or too abstract.W 26th St Manhattan NY 10001
This has the best Manhattan in the area. The atmosphere is very loungy and they make great cocktails. Not great for big groups, not for standing. If you cant sit, head to Rye House.37 W 19th St New York NY 10011
