This is room 103, aka South East Asian room. Open the window to see the central courtyard adorned with potted plants suitable for the windy Hengchun climate.
Similar to the 19th century Shakers furnishing, the pieces are simple, durable, and comfortable. The wall weaving is from the Philippines, embroidery from Vietnam, and Taiwanese woven wall hangings. All the artwork share a common "rice" cultivating theme.

Gwen was very helpful when booking. The guesthouse was in a great location, very close to everything and very handy to the bus stop. The room was tidy and well decorated. The shared showers were always clean. The only negative thing would be it is a little bit noisy from other guest watching tv late at night after 11pm the noise travels down the hall. It was also hard to find anyone to talk to for help or information.

About the Host, Gwen
I moved from Taiwan to Hawaii at age 14, lived in the US for most of my adult life, interrupted by living a few years in South America and South East Asia. I hope to visit Australia and New Zealand next, since I am so much closer now.
If I have a life motto, that would be "be as open minded as my upbringing and life experience would allow". Oh, love to hear other people's ideas. So talk to me!
