Our home is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath newly remodeled ranch style home with an oversized private patio and hot tub. The kitchen features new walnut cabinets and marmoleum flooring while the bathroom boasts brand new double sinks and a large tile walk in shower. There is original oak hardwood flooring in all the main living spaces and a cork hearth providing the perfect fireside sitting area. We've decorated using a mix of art created by friends and family and put the finishing touches on the walls by hanging paintings and photography by Devon.

You can expect a clean and modern environment stocked with all the comforts you'd find at home such as a fully furnished kitchen, books, board games, a desktop computer workstation with internet, wireless internet throughout the house, a 50 inch plasma TV complete with Netflix and Hulu Plus, and two eight foot long couches perfect for lounging around on a lazy day, or accommodating the whole group for some time by the fire or in front of the TV. We use environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and treat you to organic, locally made DANI products in the bathroom and shower.
We're located in the Midtown neighborhood, right between Pilot Butte and downtown making it less than a mile from Deschutes Brewery and a short 10 minute walk to the base of Pilot Butte, a cinder cone which rises nearly 500 feet above Bend giving you a panoramic view of the high desert and the cascades from the top...awesome at sunset!
A 2-4 block walk will get you to Croutons, Rockin Dave's Bagel Bistro, Laughing Planet, Dutch Bros, Pilot Butte Drive-In, Platypus Pub, Silver Moon Brewing Pub, Juniper Park Swim & Fitness Center, Hawthorne Bus Station or any one of several neighborhood grocery stores. There is also a bus stop at the end of our block.
The large city lot our home is located on offers a fully enclosed, pet-friendly backyard with privacy to enjoy the back patio, firepit, barbecue and hot tub. We've implemented water-wise landscaping, added a new driveway accommodating up to 3 cars, and installed a key less entry system with unique access codes for each group, for your security and convenience.
You will have access to the entire house with exception to one locked closet.
You will have access to the garage with exception to the locked storage room.

Other things to note
YARD MAINTENANCE Sprinkler and drip systems run in the morning between 5-7am during the needed months. Yard maintenance occurs once a week, usually on Friday.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY The maximum number of guests in the home is limited to six (6) persons.
NO SMOKING This is a NON SMOKING home & property. If cigarettes are detected there will be added fees.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS Located on the shelf in the laundry room and under the kitchen sink.
HOT TUB Use the hot tub at your own risk. Never leave children unattended near the hot tub. The maximum occupancy of the hot tub is 6 people. For sanitation purposes and to keep the water clear, please add 1 capful of bromine (found in the hot tub step) to water after each use. If the hot tub water is foamy when the jets are on this is likely due to the aeration valves. To adjust or shut off the valves simply twist the two grey levers found on the rim of the hot tub. White hot tub towels are available on the bottom two shelves in the bathroom. No pets, shoes or candles are allowed in or on the hot tub. No beverage glasses are permitted in the hot tub (plastic wine glasses and cups can be found in the kitchen to the left of the kitchen window). Please do not add any products (soaps, oils, etc.) to the hot tub. If these items are used, an additional cleaning fee will be applied. DO NOT SIT or STAND ON HOT TUB COVER. It may break and cause injury and/or you will be charged for replacement. The hot tub must be covered and latched when not in use.
DEPARTURE Before you depart, it is much appreciated if you would:
•Double check that all windows have been closed/locked.
•Start a load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
•Place all garbage, recycling, and pet waste from the yard, in the proper bins in the driveway.
•Start a load of whites (w/ detergent & bioclean). Place remaining dirty towels in laundry room hamper.
•Strip only the sheets/bedding that have been used & leave on top of the beds, we'll do the rest.
PETS Permitted w/ prior approval and must be leashed or supervised at all times. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste and placing it into the garbage bin located in the driveway. There are white sheets and old towels in the hall closet for covering furniture, beds, etc. Please use them to minimize pet hair, wet feet, etc. Evidence of pets on furniture or pet waste left on the property will incur extra cleaning fees. Pets must be up to date on rabies and all other vaccinations and heartworm preventive is recommended. All pets are to be appropriately managed for fleas and ticks.
PARKING Please respect our neighbors and utilize the driveway in front of the home for parking.
BIKES 4 bikes and helmets can be found in the garage. Please inspect the bikes before riding and remain safe and under control at all times. We are not responsible for injuries or damages resulting from bike use. Bike ride at your own risk and never leave the bikes unattended. Damaged or stolen equipment will be deducted from your deposit or you’ll be charged in addition.
GARAGE Please use the garage for storage of all bikes, skis and other sporting equipment. You will find snowshoes, rafts, backpacks and other recreational items in the garage closet.
LINENS & TOWELS Linens and bath towels are included in the home and we’ve provided beach towels in the hall closet for outdoor recreation, as we do not permit white towels or linens to be taken offsite. White hot tub towels are available on the bottom two shelves in the bathroom.
GARBAGE & RECYCLING The garbage & recycling bins are located in the driveway on the side of the house. Garbage/recycling is picked up Wednesday morning. If you’re at the house on pick-up day please leave a clear path to the bins (through the driveway) for easy access by the truck driver.
THIS HOME IS PRIVATELY OWNED We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. By accepting your reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS Exceptions of any kind to these policies must be approved in writing in advance.
After living in Bend for 5 years (and loving it!) we were both drawn back to Portland, Oregon (our second favorite place to live) for new jobs. We wondered what to do with our newly remodeled home in Bend when we were introduced to airbnb. Its a great way to share our place with others since we can't be there to enjoy it full time.
