About this listing
Welcome to Wabash! Located in the St. Louis Hills/Lindenwood Park Neighborhoods, Wabash is not far from the famous Route 66 and features a vintage-inspired design! It is a three bedroom home that comfortably sleeps up to 7 people with a game room, a martini bar, a washer & dryer, and a full kitchen. We love vintage furniture! Laura has been collecting pieces for years so we utilized what we already had in our various collections and went scouring the St. Louis region for the coolest vintage pieces we could find in our budget.
The bedrooms have each been designed around a theme. The master bedroom is the "Hello Sailor!" room decorated with parasols and pin-ups taking travelers back in time to the Hawaiian islands circa late 40s early 50s. The Side bedroom is called the "Space Yeah!" room zooming travelers into space Jetson style. Our final bedroom is upstairs with a rich Asian-inspired design. The downstairs bedrooms have full-sized beds, as does the pull-out couch in the living room, and the upstairs bedroom has a twin bed. The other room upstairs has been designated as a game room complete with board games, tv, dvd, ihome, and books for guests' entertainment.
This city home is not far from neighborhood stores and restaurants, Ted Drewes, St. Louis' Famous Frozen Custard Stand, the St. Louis Metrolink. Roland's house is exactly as described. It is spotless, comfortable, fully equipped. Checking in and out was effortless. We enjoyed our stay and will return next time we are nearby.
Roland's home was perfect for our stay! It was extremely spacious, very clean, and had all of the necessary amenities. As a lover of all things vintage, the decor was right up my alley. The neighborhood was lovely; the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. Roland himself was very helpful, offering tips of where to go, as well as checking in during the trip. I would definitely stay here again!
This was a great place for our family, including small children. There were toys, and big bean bag chairs upstairs which they enjoyed!
Thank you Roland!! I loved my stay at this house. It has a vintage feel to and its super homie. The home was warm and spacious. I used the basement to workout with me and my group of Herbalife members. We loved it! If we have another opportunity to go back to St.Louis will definitely stay with you guys.
Roland was an excellent host, he worked with us when our arrival times changed . The house was wonderful, it made it feel like the St. Louis I left in 1980.....brought back great memories. The house was very clean and well stocked with the basics things you need. It was also very comfortable and I plan to reserve the house for future visits if available.
Roland's place was wonderful! Very easy access to all the city has to offer and also walking distance to the iconic Ted Drewe's Ice cream! Neighboors were all nice and parking was no problem! I would recommend his place to others! Also, any time we needed anything, Roland was quick to call/text back. Thanks for hosting a great family vaca!
My three colleagues and I had a great three night stay. The house was just as described. We found both the house and neighborhood to be clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we have a similar trip in the future.
About the Host, Roland
I just finished leasing my home for a year and decided I'd much rather furnish it and host those that would really appreciate all the work I've put into making it a charming abode over the last decade.
I also love traveling, meeting new people, and staying in charming accommodations.
Along with a variety of short annual road trips, my family and I also travel over seas and have really enjoyed the UK, Scotland being our favorite vacation destination.
My friend Laura, a regular AirBnB hostess, offered to help me turn my home into a vintage inspired AirBnB hotspot. After a few weeks of hard work, the place looks great and we are eager to host our first guests. Looking forward to meeting our travelers and giving them a home away from home as they explore all that St. Louis has to offer!
