Welcome to Wabash! Located in the St. Louis Hills/Lindenwood Park Neighborhoods, Wabash is not far from the famous Route 66 and features a vintage-inspired design! It is a three bedroom home that comfortably sleeps up to 7 people with a game room, a martini bar, a washer & dryer, and a full kitchen. We love vintage furniture! Laura has been collecting pieces for years so we utilized what we already had in our various collections and went scouring the St. Louis region for the coolest vintage pieces we could find in our budget.
The bedrooms have each been designed around a theme. The master bedroom is the "Hello Sailor!" room decorated with parasols and pin-ups taking travelers back in time to the Hawaiian islands circa late 40s early 50s. The Side bedroom is called the "Space Yeah!" room zooming travelers into space Jetson style. Our final bedroom is upstairs with a rich Asian-inspired design. The downstairs bedrooms have full-sized beds, as does the pull-out couch in the living room, and the upstairs bedroom has a twin bed. The other room upstairs has been designated as a game room complete with board games, tv, dvd, ihome, and books for guests' entertainment.
This city home is not far from neighborhood stores and restaurants, Ted Drewes, St. Louis' Famous Frozen Custard Stand, the St. Louis Metrolink. We had a great time in St. Louis. Roland was a great host and the home is exactly as advertised! We have lived in older homes so the amazing water pressure in the showers was a real bonus and surprise! Roland's house was home base for our weekend. We enjoyed a Card's game, the Soulard Farmers Market, Bogart's, Oceano's, Schlafly's, Prestige Outlet Mall, and great weather. If you don't want to drive downtown, County Cab is a great alternative! Roland, we'll be in touch the next time we meet our daughters from Chicago in St. Louis! Thanks for everything - Jim and Jackie
We spent a month at this wonderful house while installing the new St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum. What a find!!! Roland is a fantastic host who made sure that the house is not only furnished well but stocked with everything you can think of. He also moved the TV for us so that we could use the upstairs room as a bedroom for a member of our crew. The neighborhood is great, the house is adorable and very comfortable for a group - great kitchen, good bathrooms and the coolest washer and dryer we've ever used! Thanks, Roland, for providing such a wonderful home away from home for the ParaMounts crew!
Roland was very professional and helped me with a last minute reservation. I had a nice stay at his house. Everything was spotless and well appointed. Thanks!
Cute, cute house and neighborhood. Everything we needed in the house was readily available, and there were great restaurants nearby. Roland was very responsive anytime I had a question. Very helpful and flexible, letting some of our party stay after checkout to wait for a taxi. Would definitely stay again!
With a family of four plus a dog, Roland's place was perfect. The location was centrally located between downtown and where family/friends lived. Great backyard for the dog and fun upstair area for the kids. Kitchen was stocked will all the essentials plus more.
I had to smile the moment I entered the house. It was precisely as it appears in the pictures, but Roland had decorated for Christmas, a wonderful touch. The tree ornaments reminded me of ones from my grandparents' and definitely fit the vintage theme.
Our family met good friends in St. Louis making 7 total guests at Roland's. The space was perfect for four adults and three kids. The house was very clean and the kitchen exceedingly well outfitted with both new appliances and food basics.
We were able to relax and feel at home in this cozy house. Staying here made our short vacation more enjoyable, as we had nothing to worry about. All communication was prompt and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
What a great house! My husband and I stayed there while visiting family in St. Louis, and it is exactly as depicted. Nicely furnished, welcoming, and very very clean. Roland was super easy to work with, and very communicative. The neighborhood is quintessential South St. Louis, with walkable (and runnable) neighborhoods all around. An added bonus is that two great restaurants are within walking distance--Farmhaus on Ivanhoe (highly recommend!), and Trattoria Marcella--also awesome. We definitely try to stay here again. Thank you!
We had a great time at Roland's place. It fit several of us very comfortably and was a nice, cute, and clean place to feel at home, relax, and catch up with college roommates. The location also worked out well as it was not far from many other great parts of St. Louis that we wanted to explore. Roland was easy to get in touch with, helpful, and responsive regarding any questions throughout the weekend. Highly recommended.
Conveniently located just off the Main Rd this retro furnished house was ideal for our needs which was to catch up with old friends for a meal and drinks and to accommodate their young children and our two happy dogs.
Roland was around in half an hour when we had a minor issue, he fixed it straight away and left us to get on with out evening, amazing!
This is a great little place to stay when your in St. Louis. Convenient location to most areas and just 10 minutes downtown or a short walk to the train.
We really enjoyed the decor in the house, we felt like we moved back in time 35 years. But don't think that carries over to the amenities as they were all up to date. A good kitchen and a great bathroom.
As recommended from others we made our trip down to Ted Drewes for some custard. Definitely worth the short ride even though it was 25 degrees outside.
