Description

Smoke-free property! 550 sf open apartment with windows in front and back; Queen bed with memory foam mattress; butcher block table w. chairs and bench; armchair, rocking chair; full kitchen including stove, fridge, microwave and toaster.

This apartment is a big (525 sf not counting closet and bathroom), open studio with windows in front and back. Queen bed with memory foam mattress, butcher block table with chairs and bench, armchair, rocking chair, and full kitchen including stove, fridge, microwave and toaster. Bathroom is spacious with plenty of space at the vanity, and good water pressure in the shower.

This is a smoke-free property!

Just one block away is College St. with plenty of nightlife, bars, music, and shopping. Little Italy is close enough for your morning coffee, or you can make coffee, tea, cocoa, or a full breakfast right in your own private kitchen. We supply coffee, several teas, hot chocolate, and sugars.

Centrally located, a bus stop is less than a block away (200 metres), or walk one block to the College St. street car (300 metres). The subway is about an 8 minute walk (770 metres=0.46 miles!). And, less than a block away, taxis roll by at all hours. Or, walk to many restaurants, bars, shopping in Little Italy, Little Portugal, Christie Pitts Park, Dufferin Grove Park Organic Farmers Market (every Thursday of the year- bread baking right in the park!) There is a YMCA two blocks away, where you can join for one day for $15. There is a pool, sauna, machines all over the place, an indoor running track, and all the fitness classes are included with membership.

If you have a car, I will tell you how to prearrange to park on the street for the duration of your visit.

Despite being in the heart of the city, this is a very quiet location. If you want to curl up, rest, and sleep soundly, take walks along quiet streets while being close to the action, this is the place.

This is technically a basement apartment, although ground level is about 1.25 metres from the floor. The ceiling is over 2 metres, but there is one beam the length of the apartment that a person over 6 feet will have to duck a bit to avoid. This is right at the entrance to the apartment door and bathroom.

Private entrance, washer/dryer, wifi.

I greet all guests and show them around the apartment, answer questions, and make myself available throughout their stay. I live upstairs from the
apartment.

This neighborhood is full of life, restaurants, bars, coffee houses, bicycles, dogs, kids, and lots of trees. There are several amazing parks nearby, one with a year-round farmer's market, and ovens that bake bread and community meals every week. Also in walking distance is the hippest Ossington strip. A wonderful Portuguese bakery that sells eggs, milk and other essentials is 1.5 blocks away, as is a great breakfast place that opens at 6 AM.

One block from bus stop, one block from street car. A few blocks from subway, and cabs pass by less than a block away at all hours. Many restaurants and bars are one block away on College St.

I have travelled all over, and have been fortunate to stay at people's homes all around Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, in Krakow, Tel Aviv, London, Paris, Granada, and across North America. These experiences win head and shoulders over any stay in the poshest hotels. I love meeting people who are exploring new places. I am enthusiastic about my neighborhood and look forward to sharing my favorite places and useful tips with you. Our house enjoys a retrieving dog resident but she will not be in your way. Until a month ago, there was a cat here, so if you are highly sensitive to cat hair, there could be a problem. We also enjoy a completely smoke-free property. I like to cook and bake. And eat.
