Our guest suite is a popular place with travelers and visitors and many return. We like to share our knowledge of the area and activities available. The Suite is comfortably furnished with a pillow-top full sized bed, bathroom with shower, kitchenette, microwave, convection oven, HDTV w/digital cable, SmartBluRay, stereo, CD, VHS movies, secure wireless internet. We also have a twin air mattress available if needed. The guest suite is well insulated and there's an indoor fireplace for added ambiance and heat in the colder months. For the hotter days the guest suite is equipped with ceiling and space fans to keep it cool. No need for air conditioning!

The suite is very private and secluded with a separate gated entrance so guests can come and go as they please. Off street parking for newer vehicles (no oil leaks) or convenient street parking on our quiet street. Laundry facilities are available with advance notice.
Check In - Check Out:
Check in time is between 4:00 - 5:30PM unless otherwise arranged and check out time is 11:00AM. PLEASE inform us if your check in time will be later than 5:30PM.
Interaction with Guests
We like to greet our guests and are available to provide information or answer any questions our guests might have. We are always interested in why people are visiting the area and what they plan to do while here, however we respect our guests privacy. We also value our privacy and rarely socialize but we have on occasion shared a glass of wine and a meal. Its really up to the guests to decide how much interaction they want to have.
We also have music room/studio/shop attached to the guest suite. At times, we rehearse our music and record. This happens mostly in the early evenings maybe once or twice during the week. Most guests appreciate the low volume acoustic music but we are aware that there may be times when guests want some peace and quiet. We will let you know when we're planning on practicing to coordinate those times and be sure not to disturb you.

We're located in the "Orchard District Neighborhood" which is an area of Bend known for the orchards that were planted here in the early years of Bend. It's a quiet area with mature landscapes, tall Ponderosa Pines, and flowering fruit trees. We are a few blocks away from Hollinshead Park, Stover Park, and Al Moody Park, and a short walk away from Pilot Butte State Park. We're only 2 miles to Parkway, 5 minutes to downtown and 35 minutes to Mt. Bachelor. Shopping and major medical facilities are nearby. This is a great central location!
The best way to get around Bend is in a vehicle, however biking is a great option. Public transit is available and there are bike racks on the BAT buses that you can catch at various places throughout Bend.

HOUSE RULES: BEND GUEST SUITE
CHECK-IN IS BETWEEN 4:00-6:00 PM UNLESS OTHERWISE ARRANGED and CHECK-OUT IS NO LATER THAN 11 AM . PLEASE INFORM US IF YOUR CHECK-IN TIME WILL BE LATER THAN 6:00PM. No early check-ins or late check-outs without prior written approval. Unapproved early check-ins or late check-outs may be charged an additional $25 fee to be collected from the security deposit. No parking until 4:00 PM and vehicles must be removed by 11:00 AM on the day of departure. This agreement does not create a tenancy or residence. You must depart at the appropriate time.
PETS: We are animal lovers and have a Lab/Dane mix (big guy) named Sam, and a cat named Satch. We sometimes allow small to medium sized dogs, but all dogs are subject to prior approval. No aggressive dogs or dog breeds will be permitted. If your dog becomes aggressive, they will not be allowed to stay. Dogs must be on leash at all times while outside on the property. Sometimes we allow a dog to play and run in the back yard. Depends on the dog as Sam can be bossy. Hollinshead Park is very close by, and it is an off leash dog park. Guests are asked to take dogs to the front of the property (front lawn is OK) to relieve themselves. Guest must clean up after their dog and place the waste in a plastic bag (under kitchen sink) and deposit in outside garbage can. Dogs shall not be left in the guest suite unattended for more than a few hours unless they are kenneled. Dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture unless the guest brings a dog blanket. Please bring bedding for your dog. Please bring towels to wipe/dry your dog before entering the cottage if it wet or damp outside. If our bedding or towels are used for your dog or there are signs of your dog being on the furniture we will make a deduction from the security deposit TBD to cover the cost of extra cleaning. The pet owner agrees that any damage to the exterior or interior of the premises, or any stains caused by the pet, will be the full financial responsibility of the pet owner and agrees to pay all costs involved in the restoration to its original condition. If any damage or stains cannot be removed, then the pet owner hereby agrees to pay the full expense of replacement.
PRIVATE PROPERTY: This is a private residence and as such, the Guest will have access to the parking area, enjoyment of the front and side yards, the approach to the guest room, the area in front of the guest room and to the guest room only. All other areas of the property are off limits unless the Homeowner invites the Guest to use other parts of the property.
PARKING: On site parking is limited to 1 vehicle. Vehicle can park on left hand side of paved driveway in front of the house. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. If any vehicle leaks oil it shall be parked on the street.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: A $300 security deposit is required. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent. It is fully refundable within 14 days of departure provided the following provisions are met:
-No damage done to guest suite or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
-No lingering odors on furniture or bedding from scented oils or topical medications.
-No pet damage/stains, No excessive pet hair in guest suite, No pet waste left in yard.
-No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets, or smoking inside the cottage during the stay.
-No linens are lost or damaged.
-No oil leaks on the driveway.
-No unapproved early check-in or late check-outs.
-No additional heating devices are used.
-No clogging of sewer system (see water and sewer section)
-The Guest is not evicted by Host, property management, or law enforcement.
RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT: Bikes, floating devises, skis, boards and other recreational
equipment are not permitted in the guest suite, they can be stored under the covered area to the left of the guest suite. NOTE: We do not provide any recreational equipment.
SMOKING: of any kind is only allowed outside. All smoking waste must be disposed of in the outside garbage bin provided.
GUEST CONDUCT: No drugs may be brought onto the property unless they prescribed by a physician. Loud and unruly behavior, including parties, extreme intoxication, or any other disruptive behavior and the guest will be immediately removed by security personnel or law enforcement. No refunds.
OCCUPANCY: Maximum occupancy for the guest suite is (2) adults and (2) children under 5 years of age. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the guest suite without permission. Any guest visitors on the property are the sole responsibility of the Guest. Hosts would like the Guest to be able to entertain friends, however, if more than 2 guests are to be on the property Guest will need to get permission from the host.
HOLD HARMLESS: The Hosts are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities, nor for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest. By making a reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.
HOUSEKEEPING: There is no daily housekeeping service. Linens, bath and beach towels are included in the unit. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the unit. We suggest you bring your own beach towels. We provide an ample supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. Guests will need to resupply at their expense if more are needed. Only use appliances for their intended uses. No additional electrical heating devices are permitted.
WATER AND SEWER: DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the sewer system, you will be charged damages.
ACTS OF GOD: We (the Hosts) cannot and will not be responsible for acts of God that may result in loss of electricity, internet connectivity, or television. When reported, we'll do our best to contact the appropriate company to help expedite repairs.
FIREARMS: Please declare any firearms you intend to have on the premises and if you have a Concealed Carry Permit. We are firearm friendly and do allow firearms on the property we just want to be aware of them.
PAYMENTS: Payments are processed by Airbnb. The nightly rate includes a 10% City of Bend Occupancy Tax and a 1% Oregon State Lodging Tax.
RATE CHANGES: Rates are subject to change without notice but will not change once your reservation has been confirmed.
CANCELLATIONS and REFUNDS: See Airbnb/Host Cancellation/Refund policy in the listing.
RESERVATION POLICY: We do not accept 3rd party reservations. You must make your own reservation, and occupy the unit yourself.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS: Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
TERMINATION: If Guest violates the terms of these Guest Rules, this agreement may be terminated and the guest will vacate the premises immediately and all unused fees will not be refunded.

The guest house is the perfect size for a couple. It's a very cozy/comfortable space. The location is also good---not too far from town. I would recommend this place.
Stan met us upon our arrival and gave us a full tour of the suite. Both Stan and Jan were very friendly and made us fell welcome. The suite had every thing we needed. We stayed five nights and had a great time in Bend. If we weren't skiing we were hiking. There are so many things to do in the area. We will definitely be going back to Bend and would love to stay at Stan and Jan's suite again.
Cute cottage on the East side of Bend! Stan was a gracious host and was very helpful and accommodating for our stay. Stan had lots of brochures and info about Bend, so you could really find anything you wanted around town. The suite was very clean and had everything one would need for a nice get-away!
Pulled up at about 8 PM on a Monday night and was greeted warmly at the front door! Stayed for two nights in a very cozy, comfortable bed. Enjoyed coffee and a great couch.
The cottage was adorable, cozy, very clean, efficient, had everything we needed and it's in a safe, beautiful neighborhood. The hosts were friendly, very helpful and accommodating but also gave all the privacy we needed. The private side entrance was great as it made us feel like we were not intruding in their space with our coming and going. We loved staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much for the awesome hospitality.

Stan made us feel very welcomed here. He personally showed us around the little cottage. It had a fully stocked kitchen, fully furnished living space, 2 heaters and a large sized closet space. Very homey/comfy! There was a windstorm the first night we stayed there and the power did go out once or twice, but the little home stayed nice and warm. This was our first airbnb stay and definitely not our last after this experience here. Stan was a great host and we'd recommend this place to our friends. The location is amazing too. It's close to everything we were looking for. The host even has a list/guide book and recommended the Bend Ale Trail, which we tried out and were very pleased with. Our dog was also very happy with the stay.
