This was a great stay. You get the luxury of a house inside with the paradise of feeling like your outside. All the open windows you feel like your in the rainforest. Great host. Cool spot to explore the tide pools and volcano flow.

This home is unforgettable. The sounds and smells of the rainforest around you is something we've never experienced before and it was absolutely magical! A pineapple plant grows right outside the kitchen. Beautiful flowers and birds are all around you in this secluded hideaway. The home was perfect for the two of us and the full sized kitchen was wonderful! We arrived later in the evening when it was about to get dark and the directions to the home were very straight forward so we found our way with no problem at all. We arrived to an immaculately clean home with champagne and local chocolates in the kitchen, as well as fresh, aromatic flowers in every room (which we loved!) The kitchen has a full sized stove, refrigerator, cutlery, pots, dish ware, everything. The kitchen has everything you will need. There is a grocery store in Pahoa 10 minutes from the home. The bedroom has a queen sized bed that is very comfortable, a large armoire with extra blankets and down comforter. The closet is stocked with 2 bath robes (which come in handy for the outdoor shower), beach towels, extra bath towels and linens. The bathroom is very zen with an antique claw foot tub. Soaking in the tub while listening to the frogs singing was very soothing! The bathroom is equipped with many toiletries, sun block, bug spray, sun burn gel, everything. They have thought of everything to have in this home to make your stay heavenly! There is a washer/dryer, snorkel gear, beach umbrella, beach mats, propane stove under the carport. The outdoor shower was very refreshing! If you shower at night, bring a flash light and check for snails! Just gently move them into the grass if they are hanging out in the walk way. They are friendly :) The lanai wraps around the back of the home and can be accessed from the bedroom and kitchen area. We spent a great deal of time on the lanai drinking Kona beer, lots of Kona beer and enjoying nature. We also enjoyed many of the activities that Connie and Andrew suggested. One of our favorites was hiking the Puna trail to Shipman's beach and seeing at least 10 sea turtles sunbathing. This place is out of this world amazing. The Enchanted Rainforest Hideaway was the perfect place to relax and get the most restful night's sleep after our adventures. We are forever thankful to Connie and Andrew for letting us experience a slice of their paradise.

A gorgeous, comfortable home tucked away in a slice of paradise- it was a wonderful stay! The window screens kept the house very comfortably cool, and we loved listening to the frogs at night. The outdoor shower was delightful, and communication with Connie was always clear and easy. We had a great time exploring the southern coast and Volcano from our stay here.

I had a lovely and peaceful stay at the rainforest cottage. The house itself is spotlessly clean and well-provisioned, with beautiful arrangements of cut flowers in each room. I loved the soaking tub and outdoor shower and slept very well in the cozy and calming bedroom. I spent hours just sitting in the living room reading and listening to the frogs chirp in the jungle. The location is great for daytime excursions: only 20 minutes or so to Hilo and its beaches, half and hour to Volcanoes Park and the Puna coast to the south. Connie was warm helpful. She came to meet at the cottage even though I arrived at night, gave me a tour, and made sure I knew how to contact her, which made me feel safe and welcomed. I hope to come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Enchanting Rainforest Hideaway. The living room and bedroom were so beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It was so clean and well supplied in kitchen and bathroom. The fresh flowers were a wonderful touch. The clawfoot tub inside was very relaxing, and there was also a shower outside. Connie was very helpful with where to go currently to see the lava flowing into the ocean (where to rent bikes and to bring a flashlight for return trip). The frogs are noisy but we found earplugs (like I said, well stocked).

The Enchanting Forest Getaway was just lovely! A perfect little romantic couples getaway almost like camping indoors! The home was immaculately clean! All the little extras (and I mean all) were on hand in case you forgot anything. It was off the beaten path, very private & very well maintained. I took my first outdoor shower as the sun was setting & it was fantastic like showering in a little jungle. The bed was comfortable & the kitchen was adorable & stocked with all the basics. We saw lizards & butterflies & snails & beautiful plant life on the property. I would highly recommended this home to any couples I know who are looking for something like this! I will also note that if you aren't the outdoorsy type, have kids or like to be right in the middle of town this won't be the ideal place for you. But for us it was wonderful!
