Loved and used by our own family, it’s relaxed, well-stocked, and ready for yours.

Enjoy a peaceful no-wake lake—perfect for kayaking—plus a comfy living area, fully equipped kitchen, and upper-level suite.

The unfinished walkout level has a pool table, TV area, laundry, and lakeside access.

The space
Welcome to our comfortable 3-bedroom, 2-bath family cottage with central air—perfect for relaxing after a day of Traverse City adventures.

The primary suite upstairs offers a king bed, private bath with walk-in shower, work space, and cozy sitting area.

On the main floor, you’ll find two bedrooms: one with a queen bed and another lakeside room with a twin/double trundle. These rooms share a full bath with a tub. Linens, pillows, and blankets are provided for all beds, along with hand soap and an extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom.

Our home is child-friendly, stocked with toys, books, and puzzles for kids of all ages. We also provide appropriately sized dinnerware and can offer a crib and high chair upon request (please let us know at booking or at least one week before arrival).

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook and bake just like at home—plenty of pots, pans, bakeware, utensils, and full sets of dishes, flatware, and child-size options. You’ll also find a Keurig, toaster, blender, dishwasher, and all the essentials (dish soap, a small dispenser, and one dishwasher pod per day).

The lower-level walkout includes a pool table, comfy couch, Smart TV, and laundry area with a washer and dryer. Step right outside to the lakeside deck with patio furniture and enjoy the peaceful setting.

We also provide high-speed Wi-Fi, Smart TVs throughout the house, and an electric BBQ grill for outdoor meals.

And best of all—pets are welcome with no additional fee! We do ask that you let us know about your pet when you book so that we can prepare.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire home, including the lower-level game and laundry area, lakeside deck, and private lake access. The only exception is the garage, which is reserved for owner use and will remain locked during your stay.

Other things to note
We want your stay to feel easy and comfortable! A few helpful things to know before you arrive:

What to Bring:
We provide a starter supply of essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and soap, plus a few coffee pods to get you settled. You may also find leftover basics like napkins, foil, or cling wrap from previous guests, but these items aren’t restocked regularly. For longer stays, you may want to bring or pick up:

• Food and beverages
• Additional coffee pods for the Keurig
• Extra paper towels, napkins and toilet paper
• Foil, cling wrap, etc.
• Personal care items

Outdoor Notes:
Firewood is not provided for the firepit, but bundles are available at nearby gas stations, grocery stores, and party stores. Please remember—no fires on the wood decks.

From spring through fall, lawn care is done weekly (usually Fridays). The backyard sprinklers run nightly, so please don’t leave items you’d rather keep dry on the grass.

In winter, our local snow removal service will plow the driveway and walkways whenever snow exceeds 2".

Lake & Beach Area:
There’s a sandy beach area perfect for kids to dig, build sandcastles, or relax by the water. Dyer Lake has a mostly sandy bottom, but we’re required to maintain a natural “live edge,” so water access is limited to the dock or beside the beach area. If you’d like a larger swimming beach, there are several beautiful options within a 10-minute drive.

Trash & Maintenance:
Trash and recycling are picked up on Fridays. If you don’t mind, please bring both bins to the road Thursday evening and return them after pickup.

Rarely, we may perform necessary maintenance during your stay—with notice, of course.

A Few Final Notes:
This is a Northern Michigan lakefront home, so you may encounter some of our local critters (bugs, wildlife, etc.). We can’t refund for sightings, but consider them part of the “Up North” experience!

The property is not fully fenced, and the garage is for owner use only. Furniture may occasionally change without notice.

I am Marisa, my son Patrick and his wife Lauren own this home. I manage it for them. They live in Virginia with their 2 children (family pictured). Patrick is from Traverse City and Lauren from Massachusetts. After meeting in College in SE Michigan they moved to Virginia. They use their home when they are visiting Patrick's family. Although they cannot live here full time, they spend as much time in Northern Michigan as the kid’s schedules allow.
