This very sunny and nicely decorated one-bedroom apartment is located on the 5th floor (with elevator) of a beautiful building in the heart of the vibrant Marais district, just a few blocks away from the amazing Place des Vosges, the Picasso museum and the Beaubourg center. Lots of trendy bars, nice restaurants, young designer’s boutiques and art galleries are within walking distance of my flat. It is the perfect place to stay for an arty and hip Paris experience, a romantic escape or a shopping time with good friends in one of the most entertaining and lively neighborhoods in the city!
The living area is bright and very well lit thanks to two large windows facing south. It consists of white walls, wooden floor and high quality furnishings that I have chosen with care. Wifi and cable Internet access is available and very quick. In the library, all my favorite books (both in French and English) will be just at hand for a restful time after a moving day in the city. There is also a fold out sofa/bed for two additional guests.
The bedroom contains a very comfortable queen size double bed and a handy large closet. Linen will be provided. As in the living room, wooden floor, white walls and a large window facing south contribute to make the room cozy and enjoyable.
The kitchen is fully equipped (oven, refrigerator, freezer, kettle, blender…). There is everything you need to prepare a dinner for four to six people or to invite many more friends!
A window facing east makes it very sunny in the morning. In addition, there is a washing machine available for your convenience.
The bathroom is lit by a large window facing North/East and includes a bathtub, a washbasin and a hair dryer.
I love living in this apartment and in this area and I would be delighted to share with you the secrets of my neighborhood and the addresses of all my favorite places (hidden cocktail bars, typical French wine bars, perfect places to have a brunch, delicious restaurants from all around the world, trendy shops and libraries, vintage and designer stores…).
The area is well served by public transportation:
Subways: République (8,9,5,11), Arts et Métiers/Temple (11,3)
Buses : (phone number hidden)…
Links to Gare du Nord (subway 5), Gare Montparnasse (bus 96), Gare Saint Lazare (subway 3), Gare d’Austerliz (subway 5) are direct and very fast. Links to airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly are also very simple and fast (about 40 minutes/1hour).
There are also grocery stores, bakeries and pharmacies within 200 meters from the building.
Wow! What an amazing place to stay.. This is perfect in every way.. The price, the location, the comfort and the ease of Nathanael's quick responses and leaving us to it! The location is crazy for how easy it is to get around via metro, walk, bikes, buses and locally the restaurants are absolutely amazing. Stay here you would be silly not to!
The place is more simple than lovely - but very well located and everything was uncomplicated, something I really appreciate! But there are some no goes in the apartment which other guests already mentioned, I just add the artificial and dried flowers in water bottles and the almost smashed ikea lamps. Nevertheless i had i goods and sunny stay here.
Its a beautiful Appartement for 1 or 2 Persons, everything you need is there! There are also great Bars, Shops and Restaurants directly around and you have to try a Coffee at Cafe Fondation! We had a Great Time, Thank you Nathanael.
We had a nice stay at Nathaniel's apartment. It was conveniently located in the Marais district (albeit, the outskirts of the Maris) by two metro stations: Republique and Temple. Nathaniel was unable to meet us upon our arrival but his friend was able to provide a key to the unit when we arrived into the train station in the late evening. The apartment has a lift which was very helpful since the unit is located on the upper floor of the building. I gave a three start rating for cleanliness because the washing machine had stale water that looked as though it had been there for quite some time and because the bathroom was slightly worn (the toilet seat was broken). Overall, while the apartment itself could have been more cleanly, we still had a good stay and Nathaniel was very responsive to any inquires we had before and during our trip.
This was a really lovely little spot to stay. Bathroom a bit basic for some it has to be said, but hey, it's Paris! Utterly made up for by the open living space with those lovely views over the treetops in this bustling neighbourhood. Located on a fantastic street with great cafes/restaurants and bars and yet with exactly the right vibe, so not too noisy in the evening. For us it was the perfect location. Would certainly stay here again. Thank you Nathanael!
This apartment is on the 5th floor (with lift) in a typical building in a lovely area of Paris, the Marais. We enjoyed our stay there. The apartment is comfortable, light and airy with windows that open on to a pretty street view. The apartment is also well situated - close to two metros, a large supermarket, many restaurants, patisseries, charcuteries and boutique shops. The Marais has a lot of activity but it is not touristy which only adds to the charm of staying in this apartment. It was very easy communicating with Nathanael and while he was not in Paris when we arrived we were greeted by his lovely friend who gave us all the information we needed. Highly recommended.
Nathanael´s apartment was fantastic! The location was perfect. It´s on the same block as several adorable restaurants, has an incredible view from the beautiful windows and is very close to two metro stations. We look forward to returning in the future.
Nathaneal's apartment was just charming... clean, simple, airy, sunny, with a beautiful view out the 5th floor windows. Access was right off a hip street in the 3rd arrondissment where a door opened into a charming inner courtyard and you entered a stairwell with both stairs AND an elevator. There are cafes, bars and restaurants ALL over the place in this part of town, a Monoprix is right around the corner to buy groceries or umbrellas, close to the wonderful Paris metro. We were welcomed at the apartment by Nathaneal's friend Leontine who was very friendly and oriented us around the apartment. The only down side was it could be a little bit noisy late at night sometimes -- voices carried up from just a few wild party-ers.
Nathanael was a fantastic host, he met us at the apartment as arranged and spent at least an hour explaining Paris and showing us where all the things we wanted to see were on the map and how to get there. The apartment is in a fantastic area, with Republique and Temple metro stations only a couple of minutes walk away and the neighbourhood of Marais is very safe, trendy and popular with Parisians so the dining scene is really good.
The apartment is on the fifth floor but there is a lift and the rooms are big and bright. Perfect for a couple and it's furnished with everything you need for your stay. We stayed for 6 nights and it really felt like our own little apartment in Paris. I am a bit of a neat freak and I would have liked a few things to be a little bit cleaner. The kettle was filthy inside and needed a scrub before use, as did the washing machine. The dispenser drawer was full of stagnant water that had gone mouldy which also prompted us to pull it out and scrub it and the washer prior to washing our clothes. Something I would have preferred not to do whilst on holiday. The bathroom is small and awkwardly there is a window that faces the stairwell. The shower pressure is pretty bad and the shower itself doesn't drain well so it always felt quite dirty. All in all, if these things don't bother you then this place is perfect. They were definitely not enough to ruin our holiday but for the price we paid I would have expected it to be better maintained. Thank you Nathanael, we loved staying in your place, it was fantastic having the comfort of your own space while in a city as busy as Paris.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Nathanael's apartment for the 3 or so days we were in Paris. It's such a cute place and could not be in a better location -- lots of great restaurants, shops, and the metro was very close. Unfortunately, Nathanael wasn't there to meet us in person, so he had his friend greet us and give us the keys and a brief tour, which worked out great. The apartment was clean, well decorated, had a great little view, and very quiet. Also, Nathanael gave us restaurant recommendations and he has great taste because we ate so well!
