This very sunny and nicely decorated one-bedroom apartment is located on the 5th floor (with elevator) of a beautiful building in the heart of the vibrant Marais district, just a few blocks away from the amazing Place des Vosges, the Picasso museum and the Beaubourg center. Lots of trendy bars, nice restaurants, young designer’s boutiques and art galleries are within walking distance of my flat. It is the perfect place to stay for an arty and hip Paris experience, a romantic escape or a shopping time with good friends in one of the most entertaining and lively neighborhoods in the city!
The living area is bright and very well lit thanks to two large windows facing south. It consists of white walls, wooden floor and high quality furnishings that I have chosen with care. Wifi and cable Internet access is available and very quick. In the library, all my favorite books (both in French and English) will be just at hand for a restful time after a moving day in the city. There is also a fold out sofa/bed for two additional guests.
The bedroom contains a very comfortable queen size double bed and a handy large closet. Linen will be provided. As in the living room, wooden floor, white walls and a large window facing south contribute to make the room cozy and enjoyable.
The kitchen is fully equipped (oven, refrigerator, freezer, kettle, blender…). There is everything you need to prepare a dinner for four to six people or to invite many more friends!
A window facing east makes it very sunny in the morning. In addition, there is a washing machine available for your convenience.
The bathroom is lit by a large window facing North/East and includes a bathtub, a washbasin and a hair dryer.
I love living in this apartment and in this area and I would be delighted to share with you the secrets of my neighborhood and the addresses of all my favorite places (hidden cocktail bars, typical French wine bars, perfect places to have a brunch, delicious restaurants from all around the world, trendy shops and libraries, vintage and designer stores…).
The area is well served by public transportation:
Subways: République (8,9,5,11), Arts et Métiers/Temple (11,3)
Buses : (phone number hidden)…
Links to Gare du Nord (subway 5), Gare Montparnasse (bus 96), Gare Saint Lazare (subway 3), Gare d’Austerliz (subway 5) are direct and very fast. Links to airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly are also very simple and fast (about 40 minutes/1hour).
There are also grocery stores, bakeries and pharmacies within 200 meters from the building.
Nathanael is a great host, very easy going and accommodating.
The apartment is great - simple and cute, located in such a good neighbourhood - would recommend.
Le Marais is a fantastic neighbourhood to stay in for first timers in Paris; the choice of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby is great, and there are lots of interesting places to visit which are more interesting than the usual tourist fare. For those who do want to see Paris' more classic landmarks, the Louvre and Eiffel Tower are easily accessible by metro (Temple is less than 2 minutes away) but also not too far to walk if the weather is clear. Twenty minutes from Gare du Nord at most, the location was definitely ideal for us.
As well as this, Nathanaël was a warm and welcoming host and made sure that we had tonnes of information about the local area. Check in times were flexible and we really were able to treat the apartment like a home from home!
Nathanaël a été d'une réactivité et d'une gentillesse étonnante :)
Mon amie s'y est tout de suite senti chez elle
Son deux-pièces est ce qu'il se fait de mieux dans le quartier, avis de parisien !
Everything about the space was accurately depicted. Very homey and comfortable space to stay. It was not as clean as it could have been, however the location and price outweigh the negative by kilometers. Nathanael was not around at the time of our stay, but he had a very attentive replacement named Gabrielle. Close to metros, grocery, shopping, and more. Really great place to stay. Highly recommended.
The apartment is in a great neighborhood that is very central. It's easy to walk to most places in the Marais and central Paris. Also easy to walk to restaurants and bars in the 9eme and 11eme. Nathanael wasn't there but his friend handed off the keys to my friend before we arrived. His instructions were clear and the apartment was simple and nice.
We were lucky enough to stay in your lovely apartment over the weekend. Our dear friends had treated us for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful weekend, relaxing, walking and wishing we could live there! Your apartment and the Le Marais suited us perfectly. Thank you for all your advice about where to eat and visit. We absolutely loved the market 'Marches Des Enfants Rouges' especially the brunch crepes. Hoping to return very soon.
