The Space

The room....... EXTREMELY comfortable and well dressed bed, desk, and vintage furnishing make for a perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. ALL ROOMS HAVE EN SUITE VANITY SINKS, but none have private toilets or showers. Perfect for just a night passing through Atlanta (only 4 quick stops from the Airport, then a 3 minute walk to the house) or even for an extended stay (so close to downtown)

The house....Original details such as hardwood floors, high ceilings, big original windows, glass door knobs, etc...tastefully furnished with vintage housewares mixed with modern and elements of nature. Modern kitchen with appliances available to guests, as well as WIFI and laundry facilities. Guests are usually well traveled, friendly, educated, interesting to chat with, and in the habit of good house sharing etiquette. Sorry, no children or pets allowed. However, we do have 3 super sweet, friendly pooches that live with us. They mostly stay downstairs with us, out back, or in the kitchen. They are not allowed in the other guest areas, so no worries about any dog hair or mess.

The neighborhood...Capitol View/Sylvan Hills, an up and coming community close to downtown. It's a slow paced, residential neighborhood comprised of mostly single family homes. Lots of urban pioneering going on, so it's a mix of longtime working class families and older folks mixed with artsy, liberal minded, socially conscious type people moving in, which gives sort of a Bohemian/ inner city vibe. Overall, people are very friendly and hospitable, a great way to experience real old style Atlanta southern culture, since neighborhood hasn't been gentrified yet. If you are looking for an area bustling with trendy cafes, pretentious people, and posh shops, this neighborhood is not for you. You should look for listings in Va Highlands or Buckhead. Beautiful Perkerson Park is nearby (5 to 10 minute walk) with tennis courts, basketball, frisbee golf course, running track with workout stations, and plenty of beautiful open space.

I have 3 houses very close to each other, when you book a room, you will be staying in one of the 3 houses. All are very charming and offer the same amenities.

  • Tracy's bungalow was perfect for my stay in Atlanta. Very well-kept, interesting interior design, and an attention to the details that made it feel like I was in a hotel (including providing a robe and slippers with your room). But its better than a hotel because its a true home with a beautiful kitchen, patio and living room.

The room had a sink and a desk inside, which was very nice for having a quiet space to work and for not feeling like you were in the way of other guests needing to use the bathroom.

The location is a short walk from the train station, which is a short ride to the airport and downtown.

Tracy was a fantastic host - welcoming, flexible and very accommodating. I showed up after 10 pm and on my checkout day I left my bags at the place until after 5 pm - both were completely fine with her. She's doing a great job making a true alternative to hotels and sharing the spaces she has transformed into wonderful homes!

  • We had such a lovely time at Stacy's place! Stacy was unfortunately out of town so her friend Forrest checked us in. However, Forrest was more than helpful and nice with everything and Stacy was also helping us out trough messages. The house is very nice, clean and very well decorated. We enjoyed listening to Stacy's vinyls and barbecuing in the back porch. We were able to park our car in the backayard's alley. To sum up, Stacy's house is a very nice place to stay and we would go back there anytime if we were going back to Atlanta.

  • Tracy is extremely hospitable and just awesome! Her home is extremely cozy, comfortable, and in close proximity to many attractions in Atlanta. Her dogs are darlings as well. If you're lucky, her dad might be in town and might make kale smoothies in the morning! Overall, a really nice experience staying with Tracy and I would stay with her again if I'm ever in the area.

  • Tracy has a lovely home. Her place is large and the rooms are extremely well decorated and comfortable. She is very accommodating and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my conference at the Georgia World Congress Center. The MARTA was cheap and easy to use and very close to her house as well. Thank you Tracy!

Easy going, creative type. I like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and I try to find beauty in all things. I like to have fun and not take life too seriously. I enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. I am a realtor and love to buy houses and fix them up. I have quite a few places where I host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible, so you will also have a co-host, Forrest. and his handsome pooch, Odin, here to make sure your stay if a great one.
