We were greeted by Veronika's elegant mother-in-law at the front door of a classic pre-war apartment building just blocks from the northern entrance to the Piazza Del Popolo. She had such warmth as she showed us through the large and beautifully-proportioned apartment.
Upon entering the apartment, there is a short note that states that the apartment itself is like an older, graceful woman with some creaky bones. I think that this is a fitting way to describe the flat. Overall, it worked perfectly for the week my wife and 16 year old triplets spent in Rome during the Christmas holidays.
The location allows easy access to all of the highlights of Rome. We walked nearly everywhere but took cabs occasionally from the taxi stand at Piazza Del Popolo. We even walked to and from St. Peter's Square for Christmas Eve Mass, a magical evening we will not soon forget.
The terraces that wrap around the apartment and even run up two more levels to a rooftop aerie are absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, there was a cold snap that kept us inside most of the time. I can only imagine that in the warmer months they'd be a perfect place to relax after a day of walking through Rome.
Before and throughout our stay, Veronika was the consummate host. She made sure that everything worked perfectly for us. She even offered to take us to the big Christmas food market on Christmas Eve, but my family of teenagers tactfully declined the option of waking up for an 8:30am departure.
Thank you for helping us create a truly memorable Christmas holiday this year!
The penthouse is perfect for our family of five. It is located just opposite Piazza del Popolo and walking distance to places of interest like the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese. In fact we had no issue walking back slowly from Colosseo to the penthouse, passing by other attractions. The unit itself is wonderful being decorated with beautiful family collection of treasured paintings. Veronika and her mother-in-law are great hostesses making sure we have a comfortable stays there. The concierge is very friendly and helpful too. We were welcome with the basics like bread, jam, coffee and water. My children truly enjoyed their stays in this penthouse and did not want to leave Rome. Definitely a place we'll return to in our next visits to come in Rome.
Both the host and the apartment were excellent. The host provided us with the transportation to/from the airport in the minivan for our 5-people group. Upon our arrival we received friendly and full explanations on how to "operate" the apartment, where to eat, where to buy food, etc etc. The apartment was a huge pleasant surprise for us - it was REALLY same or even better vs what we saw on the photos (very often nice hotel pictures do not match the poor reality). Apart from the fantastic views and the location , the apartment had all for living 5 adult people (fully equipped kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms with aristocratic charm). The entrance with a concierge in a uniform, vintage elevator and marble staircase added even more excitement. Neighborhood was quiet and invisible - our apartment was the only one on the top floor. No smells in the apartment, no annoying sounds, excellent beds -all my family members slept very well. The air temperature can be easily regulated via the thermostat - quite important for cooler seasons!
This is a wonderful penthouse apartment for a vacation in Rome, beautifully furnished, and with a fantastic terrace overlooking the skyline of Rome. It's located minutes from Piazza del Popolo, the Metro Station Flaminio, Via del Corso and the charming Via Margutta (Thanks, Veronika) in a lovely building complete with a marble staircase, art deco lift and a friendly concierge.
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and is tastefully decorated with italian antique furniture, wooden parquet floors and art objects. It was obviously a much-treasured home. We loved the wrap-around terrace, which is perfect for sundown drinks or a meal outside, and also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which even had a little herb garden!
Veronika was very helpful, all communications were answered quickly, and we were happy to find that the apartment was well-stocked with basic items from coffee to washing powder. She also gave us a few great dining tips in walking distance. We were warmly greeted by Veronika's mother-in-law, who showed us around the apartment and advised us where to buy groceries.
Our family spent a very happy week in this lovely apartment. Many, many thanks, Veronika and Eleanora
Amazing luxurious place - heart of town - friendly doorman - like staying in the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. Wonderful to have an elevator after climbing steps all over Italy. Gorgeous rooms, fantastic wrap-around patio. Veronika was very helpful with our connections and transports. She even arranged a perfect guide for our sight-seeing. We will definitely be back.

Visiting other countries, meeting people belonging to other cultures, is my great passion. I have travelled all around the world, lived in many different homes, hotels, apartments, and I know what makes a traveller feel at home. I will try to offer this to our guests.
I grew up in Italy as a foreigner, having Austrian parents, and then settled down here marrying an Italian, that's why I know and love this country profoundly. I will be happy to share my knowledge with those who come to our home.
Having myself two little children, I know what it means to travel with children, and our home will be really child friendly, full of toys, books and other useful things. I believe that traveling with children is wonderful!
