ABOUT THE ROOM
We have five bedrooms available at our holistic centre in Donamon, Co.Roscommon, Southern Ireland. These consist of 2 x twin bedrooms (on suite) and a single bedroom (shower room with toilet opposite) located in the main building plus 1 double bedroom and a sitting room that can be converted into a double bedroom (bed settee) in an annex, which has 1 bathroom and 1 toilet that guests in both rooms would share. This listing is for 9 people occupying all 5 bedrooms. If you require alternate accommodation (room type or more than one person) please contact us and we will send you a quote.
A self service light breakfast consisting of cereals, toast + tea or coffee is included in the price. In addition to this we can also offer a cooked breakfast, lunch and an evening meal to suit your requirements.
Discounted rates are offered for group bookings and for individuals who are staying for more than three nights.
ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION & LOCATION
Set in a rural environment it is an ideal location for a relaxing break, a retreat, a walking holiday or as a stop-over whilst exploring Ireland. We are a short walk from the river Suck (making it an attractive location for a fishing holiday) and Donamon Castle.
OPAL offers a tranquil setting where you can escape from the distractions of modern day life. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and quiet environment, suitable for relaxation and retreat. For this reason there are no TV's, radios etc.
Guests have use of the facilities including our hall with a comfortable relaxation lounge area, kitchenette where guests can make themselves hot & cold drinks, our quiet room for relaxation and reflection plus a wide selection of self-help, well-being and motivational books from our library. There is also a garden with seating which guests are welcome to use.
Although we are situated in a tranquil, rural location we are a short drive from Roscommon town (approx 10km) and a number of tourist attractions such as Strokestown Famine Museum, Athlone (where you can take a boat trip down the River Shannon, take in a show at the Deane Theatre and avail of the shopping in the town centre).
