Bondi is the closest beach to the city, so it's the perfect blend of two worlds. Step out of the apartment & moments later you'll find yourself sinking your feet into warm white sand. Alternatively hop a bus & you can be gazing at the Opera House & Harbour Bridge in no time.
We love meeting people from all over the world & hearing your stories. We enjoy hosting short stays up to 1 month for people on holiday/vacation/business/study, etc.
We take pride in keeping our home clean & beautiful and ask that you look after it.

Interaction with Guests
Steve and Christine are freelance film production professionals. Sometimes we are working from home on our next project and sometimes are are away on set for 12 hour days. It changes from week to week. We pretty much let you have your space if you are seeking some peace & quiet but are on hand for any advice you might need.
Bondi is the best beach in Sydney. Stunning blue water, powder fine sand and hours of sunshine. We love it here and all of our visitors do too. Once you've had enough sunshine, there's plenty to do beyond the waves. Bondi has a dozen small coffee shops where you can sample an Aussie "Flat White" or have a beautiful brunch. Or refresh & revive at one of the neighbourhood's juice bars. For retail therapy, there's several streets with cute boutiques for unique clothes & homewares. After hours, visit a local wine bar for a bite to eat & a chat.
Buses to the city are a 5 minute walk from the apartment & we include a map of the bus stops. The bus ride to the city centre (Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens, MCA, etc) takes about 40 minutes. Alternatively, you can catch a bus to Bondi Junction train station (15 minutes) and then catch a train into the city (10 minutes). Bondi Junction has lots of restaurants and the giant Westfield Shopping Centre has loads of shops and a movie theatre. Everyone who stays with us has found the buses & trains easy to navigate. The apartment is 30 minutes by car/taxi or 1.5 hours via public transport from the Sydney Airport (domestic & international terminals)
Check in is at 1:00pm
Check out is at 10:00am
Early arrivals are sometimes possible but we can't guarantee them, so please check with us first.
Late arrivals are fine as we can leave a key for you if needed.
Strictly no smoking inside the flat or on the balcony
Please treat our home as if it were your own.
Christine and Steve were incredibly kind and accommodating. I was able to easily find their place, and settle myself in in the morning after I landed. Their home is near public transportation, and it is easy to get into the CBD (2 minute walk). Hayden, their godson, was such a sweet boy. Bondi is a nice balance between quiet and being able to go into the CBD easily. I will definitely stay here again if I head back to the Bondi area. Thanks again for everything!
We had no major issues staying at christine and steve's place. Yes e room is small, but you dont go to bondi n spend time indoors! Very convenient location to great restaurants and NAMASTE had great indian food on hall st.
On a down side, we had to carry our luggages up and down the stairs. Expect a noisy neighbourhood though; neighbours were having a party at night and there were constructions gg on.
Christine and steve were kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage for a later check out, and they left us alone when required, but always ready to help us wih our queries! Even printed a map of the area for us with all key points which was really helpful!
Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Christine and Steve were very friendly and helpful to us! The flat and the room are very beautiful and clean. We had a great stay by them!! Thanks for everything! I can't understand the bad evaluation...
Well, sad to say, our experience at Steve & Christine's place was the worst out of the 3 places that we stayed at in Australia ( Melbourne, Gold Coast & Sydney) !
The so- called room was so cramped for space that two people could hardly move around unhindered, the bed had to be physically pulled out with great effort to turn it into a double bed, which made the two beds uneven & thus very uncomfortable to sleep in, the pillow covers & the bed sheets were smelly & to top it all, the hosts were most uncaring of their guests
It was because of the above-mentioned reasons that out of the 4 nights that we had booked for ourselves at this place, we slept for only 2 nights there; we spent the remaining two nights at our friends' place!!!
So one can have a fair idea of the degree of discomfort we faced. Moreover, the TV was inoperative as not a single channel worked. Despite this fact having been brought to the notice of the hostess, nothing was done to address our grievance ! In fact, the hosts never made us feel at home at all - in fact, they were non-communicative and came across as rather cold and arrogant people !
We will certainly not like to recommend this place to any of our relatives and/or friends back in India or elsewhere !!!
We certainly don't like to give bad reviews, and always try to find the positive aspect of all our guests. Sadly, Avinash and his wife are the first guests that we are unable to recommend.
Unfortunately, there was some friction on the first day between Avinash's wife and my partner, which left a bad taste in our mouths. This was compounded by damage discovered when Avinash and his wife left: a couple of deep scratches on our beautiful hardwood floor and also some damage to the balcony door.
While we fully understand that accidents happen, we would have preferred to have been notified during the stay rather than having to discover the damage ourselves.
We note that Avinash has complained about our television. We confess - we don't have cable! We recommend taking advantage of the amazing beach less than 200meters away - should the need for a TV fix be absolute, Apple TV, a plethora of VOD options AND a DVD collection are available for our guests pleasure.
We also note Avinash's discomfort with our bedsheets. These are locally sourced, eco linen sheets washed between each guest with eco-friendly detergent.
On reflection, we feel that Avinash and his wife would probably be more at home in a budget hotel than AirBnB.
*NOTE* as of the date of this review we have still not received payment for the damage Avinash did to our beautiful flat.
This apartment is a prime location for beach lovers. It is 5 minutes from Bondi beach, and also nearby to a ton of restaurants and bars.
I was out most of the time so I was only able to chat with Christine and Steve for a little while. They are extremely nice folks and they definitely made me feel welcome. Communications were great with them, and they made sure I was prepared with all the logistics during my stay.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend time in Bondi!
We really liked the apartment and especially the way, Christine and Steve decorated it. Also, the balcony was perfect for having breakfast outside. Our room was quite small for two persons with lots of lugagge but that was ok, as we did not spend too much time there. The place was really close to Bondi Beach and we highly recommend it if someone is looking for a pretty place close to the beach and to bars and hip restaurants for a few days. Our hosts were uncomplicated and nice.
Steve and Christine were very receptive. The apartment was very organized and had a good environment. Also it was close to the beach and easy access. We enjoyed staying there!
Christine and Steve. She is American and he is Canadian. And they are both awesome. :)
They met in London & drifted to Sydney where they've been for the last 4 years. They make films & dream big!
