Thank you for the nice review, Sarah! We would welcome you back anytime. Morning cups of coffee -- and evening glasses of wine -- on the deck are where you'll find us every day when we get to go and stay there, too. That driveway IS steep, isn't it? I was surprised when even my little rented Ford Focus made it up there. We do also keep a hefty supply of "Sno-Melt" available for our guests if they're there during inclement weather. And we always remind people who wish to rent in the winter: "This IS the mountains, and it's winter. Come at your own risk." :) Take care, and come again.

Hi Don! Glad you had a good stay. We do clearly state on our listing that we don't provide *any* food or toiletries and that guests are responsible for purchasing all food and amenities (although we do provide a complimentary roll of paper towels, two toilet paper in each bathroom, soaps and shampoo in each bathroom, two packets of dishwasher detergent, and two packs of laundry detergent as a courtesy to our guests.) Before we owned our cabin, we stayed at many rental homes in the past where none of these items were provided, except one roll of toilet paper (as stated on their advertisements), and thus we made preparations at the grocery store to stock up on everything we might need.

I am so sorry the wi-fi reached its capacity and I wish you would have called me -- it would only have taken a 2-second switch for me to immediately provide you with additional wi-fi bandwidth. Apparently, the guests before you may have been using streaming video or something that sapped some of the data allowance. Since your stay, I have arranged to have my wi-fi provider notify me if there is a 75% "use" of available data so that I can immediately bump up our plan for guests.

I am disappointed that our appliances disappointed you. We do state very clearly our appliance inventory on our website -- not sure what "entry level" means other than perhaps they weren't top-brand names (?). We have an automatic-drip Mr. Coffee coffee pot with automatic/timer brew function and 2-hour auto-shut-off, a brand new Amana oversize above-range microwave which was just installed in April, a full-size GE dishwasher and a stackable GE washer/dryer, a GE refrigerator with auto ice maker, a full-size oven with a glass-top 5-burner stove (with a warming burner) -- those are all products which sufficiently service our family. I'm sorry to hear they were tedious or of a nuisance for you, and especially sorry to hear that they took away from your enjoyment of our cabin.

We hope you will visit us again; just let me know if you want to check in early before doing so this time. I understand it wasn't too much of an issue that you arrived early since our housekeeping staff happened to be onsite finishing up some things for your arrival. Thanks again for your stay!
