We had the best time at the place of Tamara. She is so kind and she has lovely animals! The cottage was very nice. You have everything you need in the house. It's even more beautiful than it's on the pictures!
We would definitely return to Tamara's place when we go back to Miami. Tamara thank you so much for our lovely stay!
Tamara was a wonderful host, Magic City Farm is a fabulous oasis in the middle of Miami. We had a great stay there and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Miami. The beaches are nice and close, lots of great restaurants in the area, and the menagerie of pets made it a great stay.
Lugar apacibel y tranquilo, alejado del centro pero junto a una de las arterias pricipales de la ciudad (Byscaine Boulevard).
Rodeados de vegetación y animales (gallinas, patos, perros, gatos y un cerdo).
Estancia agradable, lugar pintoresco.
Tamara fue muy amable y atenta a todo lo que pudieramos necesitar.
Recomendable si quieres tranquilidad y vacaciones diferentes.
This was my first trip to Miami main land and I immediately fell in love with the lush landscape, mix of cultures, and relaxed vibe. The handful of cottages called "Georgia Peach" drew together these three elements in perfect harmony. Favorite moments include waking up to watch the animals on the property, taking an outdoor shower after a trip from beach, and chatting with other guests and Tamara about their trips. This place is a gem. If you love AirB&B for its ability to deliver quirk. Consider this listing. If you love the outdoors, simple amenities, and a refuge from the glitz and glam of "the Beach" you MUST stay here.
Tamara's Magic City Farm was a perfect place to stay! She was a great hostess, and I thought the property was truly magical. Wonderful to spend the evening watching the Ibises fly in from the Everglades on Little River, listening to the pig snore peacefully. The cottage was cozy, well-appointed and lovely, the kitchen area just perfect for what I needed and complete with some interesting collections. Tamara was even so kind to take me to the store the first day of my visit for some necessities, as I was being shuttled about by a friend and did not rent a car...if you stay here, you should rent one! She also gave me some great reccomendations of good places to go eat/beach in the area. I really look forward to reccomending the cottages, and to staying there again! Side note: I wished I would have utilized the outdoor shower but I felt weird infringing on the other cabin's space, and unsure how much privacy I could get there.
Lovely place, beautiful garden and Tamara is a very friendly host. Me and my wife would definitely go back, highly recommended. Plenty of parking space for those who come by car.
Great! You can stay in a 100 hotels and forget 99. You will never forget this cottage. Beautifull tropical garden that hosted 2 fotoshoots by interrnational magazins in 4 days we were there. For a reason.
Features: outside shower, free roaming pig (won't climb your porch, but will try to seduce you to feed him by oinking gracefully), possible manity spotting, wonderful host. Again, the garden is incredible.
No TV, fast internet, good airconditioning.
I shouldn't say Tamara's place is amazing, because I'm afraid it'll be impossible to book next time we're in Miami. But I owe it to her--especially after she was willing to accommodate our unintentional late night arrival. Her lovely little beach cottages and the lush grounds of the property make you feel like you're on a tropical island getaway. I'm glad there was both a fan and a supercharged A/C unit, and I was thrilled Tamara had beach towels to lend us. It was great to be able to come and go at all hours without any inconveniences. Plus, it's great to have cats and dogs around for hanging out in the morning.
While it's a little ways out from all of the popular areas of Miami, nothing was ever more than 20 minutes away really. We'll definitely come back!
This place is Magic. We couldnt imagine we could get such a setting in the middle of Miami. Very nicely layed out, lush gardens, palms, plants and some lovely pets around the gardens. We are only sorry that our time was not long enough to enjoy the place more but we got to speak to Tamara a few times and we left it that we would be coming back. Tamara is very open and ready to help with any questions and she is easy to get on with. People bear in mind this is a place for people who enjoy nature. The cabins are very authentic, made of wood and basic but very clean and lovely looking. It´s such a releive to take a brake from the usual brick walls. If you are into luxury hotels and fanciful environments then this place may not be for you.
Thanks Tamara for a lovely time!
Tamara's place was great, it was like a little oasis just outside downtown Miami. We arrived around 9pm but Tamara was there to greet us and show us to the hut where we were staying called Georgia Peach (she has a few available for rent).
The place itself was fine for what we needed, it had a double bed, shower and toilet, there was no door on the bathroom, but it didn't matter too much. Outside there was a little porch which a couple of chairs, a great place to relax and also get the wifi (which had a patchy reception indoors).
The best bit about this place was that there was a plethora of animals, including cats, dogs, hens, geese and even a hog! All seemed very friendly and didn't trouble us at all.
We were staying in Miami to attend the Ultra Music Festival in downtown Miami so we decided not to hire a car until the last couple of days (after the festival). We actually found it fairly easy to get around without a car. There are two bus stops fairly close, one only a 5 mins walk which has a couple of routes, one to the Omni Center for the free Metromover into downtown, the other goes directly into town. There is also a 'local bus' which is more frequent and goes to downtown. The fare is $2 for the Miami Transit buses $1.50 for the local bus.
Coming back late at night we found the #3 bus went hourly through the night from downtown to a stop about 15 mins from the property.
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Georgia Peach and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys something a bit different.
