The Space

This is a 37m² NEW apartment in the very heart of Buenos Aires. A few metres to the Metro, and to all the main bus lines.

The apartment is on a top floor so you will always have lots of sunlight and beautiful views.

It has all the facilities you will need to feel as comfortable as in your own home: Air conditioning, Fast Wi-Fi connection, kitchen totally equipped.

The neigbourhood is safe, lively and famous for its tango and theatre performances, historic cafererias, and restaurants.

The price includes everything: water, gas, electricity, Wi-Fi. Maid service is once a week starting from second week.

What you see on the photos is exactly what you will find when you come to the apartment: there are no photoshop tricks here. The place looks bright because it is NEW and immaculate because everything is very clean.

It is a very bright apartment with lots of sun light, located in Boedo Avenue, close to Avenida de la Independencia, one of the main avenues of Buenos Aires. It is a great location and also a very safe location. Experience the real Buenos Aires, in one of the best and most traditional neighborhoods of the city!

I hope you have a great time in Buenos Aires and a pleasant stay in this lovely apartment! I will be pleased to have you as a guest. Welcome to Buenos Aires !

Please, do not hesitate to ask me any questions.

Guest Access

The whole apartment is for the guest. No shared spaces. Kitchen, bathroom, balcony, all for you.
There is a fast WiFi connection, air conditioning, heating, etc.

Interaction with Guests

I am most of the time online, but it is also easy to reach me by phone as well. Upon your arrival I will provide you with tons of recommendations, and touristic suggestions, all those that you wont find in a guide!

The Neighborhood

Boedo is one of the most antique, safe and traditional neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Boedo is well known for its tango related history, Milongas (Tango dancing nightclubs), poets, and old cafes, bars.

Although the neighborhood has recently been renewed a special effort has been put to preserve its original charm.

Here the first independent theaters were founded, and in the still running cafes the famous ¨grupo de Boedo¨ - a collective of well known intellectuals and artists of the time - began their gatherings.

Getting around

Lot's of buses pass the area and also metro station is only in 500 metres, it will take you to any location easily.

Other Things to Note

There is a laundry shop downstairs, many restaurants and cafes around, the avenue is large and full of people most of the time, easy to catch a taxi.

  • We spent 4 nights at Egle's appartment and we felt like at home. The appartment is very clean , with lot of light , very confortable. The kitchen is well equiped .
The area is nice, a supermarket and several fruits and vegetables stores, butchers etc are closed. The subway is two blocks away .

Egle is very helpfull, always answering really quickly to the emails. She made a reservation for us because we do not speak spanish . Thank you to her.

We recommend Egle's appartment. It's a very good choose in Buenos Aires.

  • Apartamento exatamente como se vê nas fotos. Chuveiro delicioso, porém um box minúsculo. Tem ar e calefação. Cama boa. Metro fica perto do apartamento, apenas algumas quadras.

Aliás, o hall e corredores do prédio estavam sempre bem cuidados e perfumados. As fotos retratam bem a realidade.
Recomendo!!!

  • Egle is a delightful host, and she offered many recommendations for exploring BA. Her apartment is very modern and had everything we needed for our week-long stay. I would love to stay here on my next trip to Buenos Aires because it was close to cafes, tango, and a fantastic parrilla restaurant.

  • Overall, I am happy with my choice to stay in this apartment during my two months in Buenos Aires. Egle and the care taking/housekeeping team were extremely helpful and accommodating. I loved the location (very close to the subway, many bus lines, and a grocery store) and neighborhood (not full of rich tourists like Palermo or Recoleta). The apartment itself was clean and bright: the listing for this apartment is a very accurate description of the place. The only true downside to this apartment for me was the noise level. Although the street noise is audible, it was not nearly as regularly disturbing as the construction that was taking place next door as well as maintenance work within other apartments in the building, on top of the noise from other tenants in the building. The walls are very very thin, and I heard everything from a marble/small object dropping/bouncing on the floor above to a neighbor's whining dog as if they were in my own apartment. I used earplugs nightly, but they still were not enough to block out the electric saw that started at 7am every morning (yes, Monday through Sunday, 7 days a week).

I would like to reiterate that I am happy overall with the apartment, it was just slightly difficult to rationalize the price because of the regular noise disturbance.

    Response from Egle:

The construction of the building near by is due to be over in Jun 2013, hopefully the place will be suitable for light sleepers.

  • Egles Apartment is beautiful! We stayed there for 1 week and we really enjoyed it! It has everything you need, is quite large and is in a new building. Futhermore it is in a safe area (Boedo) and various buses are just around the corner. Egles is a great host and was always very helpful. I was very easy to get in conntact with her and she was responding to emails very quickly - often within minutes. :-) Thank you very much Egle! We can definitely recommend staying at Egles apartment. Next time we come to Buenos Aires we definitely will want to stay at this apartment again.

Recomendo e voltarei!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed in this studio apartment for three months and found it to be a great base for exploring Buenos Aires. You definitely get a different experience staying in the neighborhood of Boedo than in one of the more popular tourist neighborhoods (like Palermo) - while we at times struggled with locals who couldn't understand our amateur Spanish and a lack of variety in the food options (though there are endless empanadas, pizzas, and steaks), we ultimately were glad to have lived like locals in this porteño neighborhood.

There are plenty of nearby restaurants (all quite Argentine), a supermarket a block away, and lots of small markets, verdulerias, and carnicerias within a couple blocks. The subte is a short walk away (about half a mile) down the bustling Av. Boedo, and there are plenty of buses nearby as well.

The studio itself is quite spacious with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and cute (small) balcony. Although we never actually met Egle (receiving the keys from and returning them to the encargado on the top floor), she was very responsive to all messages and seems to constantly be improving the apartment - near the end of our stay, she even sent over wineglasses.

Due to the location and lack of insulation, we did hear quite a bit of noise from the neighbors and street - people who are light sleepers will probably want earplugs. The only other negative is that we would have appreciated a couch or more comfortable chairs - but this is mostly because of the length of our stay (three months).

I'd especially recommend the place for a short stay for a couple or longer stay for a solo traveler - although large for a studio (and certainly larger than a hotel room), this is still a single room, making it less than ideal for two people for an extended period of time.

Overall, a great experience, and we hope others will consider this cute studio apartment for their time in Buenos Aires!

I am architect, interested in arts, especially painting. I love chocolate, Aki Kaurismaki movies, early mornings, photography... I was trying to decorate our apartments nicely so that your stay would be more pleasant. I am recommending my guests places to visit, things to do. I was traveling around the world some years ago and I understand how stressful it is to look for a place to stay, to orientate in a new city. I normally paint all day in my studio so I am quick to respond e-mails. Looking forward to hearing from you, Egle
