We had a great stay at Ramonas place. Bernal Heights is a very nice neighbourhood to stay at. The apartment is very nice and comfortably accomodates 4 persons. We strongly recommend this place.
Great place, especially for quick trips! Convenient location without being downtown.
We were delighted to find Ramona's very clean and airy apartment with a seating area outside the LR french doors in Bernal Heights. Extra sheets were available and additional towels for the asking -- so very nice not having to purchase them just for our stay. Dishes, glasses & utensils were provided along with a round table and 4 chairs for meals. Books, some games and a large TV in the LR were also provided. Making a trip to San Francisco to meet our new grandson and to visit our son and daughter in law, we were glad to be in their neighborhood hosted by such friendly people.
A nice market with wonderful organic foods is down the block along with a few shops, library and a small selection of nice restaurants (we liked Vega for their Italian food and The Liberty Cafe with open air seating in the back).
Also close enough to the city area of SF for whatever activities you wanted to enjoy and a quick trip to the airport. It suited us just perfectly. Many thanks!
We booked the apartment in SF very short notice and just for 2 nights. The location is excellent in my opinion. It's in a quiet neighbourhood with locals shops and cafés just minutes away on foot. Parking is a problem but I think that's everywhere in SF. The correspondence between the owners and ourselves was always friendly and efficient. The handover worked out fine and any queries we had were answered or sorted immediately.
The flat itself is really nice and we enjoyed our stay there. The beds are comfortable and the place was very clean upon arrival. Can't say much about the kitchen as we never actually ate there! It's an ideal place for 2 adults, or 2 adults with children. If 3 or more adults stayed there, they would have to along very well in order to share the limited space, especially the beds.
It was a good stay we had at Ramona's and I'd go there again any day!!
The apartment was superb. When we walked in we could hardly believe how it was exactly as photographed. We enjoyed having so much space and especially liked the yard. The apartment was close to the organic grocery store and to many fine restaurants - sushi, Italian and Indian food. We got to meet the people upstairs, from Ramona, to her husband and her two delightful daughters, and their grandmother, and wish that we would have had more time to see them, as they too have very busy lives. We have passed on our experience staying in this apartment to many friends who are also interested in staying in this location when in San Francisco.
Fantastic. Convenient and close to public transport. Clean, neat with nice art on the walls. Clear communication with the owners too.
Had a really enjoyable time staying here with two of my friends. It was great that there was a patio and it was private and separate from the main house. It was a nice neighborhood and parking wasn't hard to find at all! I would suggest mentioning the gender of all the people who are staying at their place, since there seemed to be some sort of miscommunication. But none the less this place is wonderful and they even provided towels!
