  • Excellent experience. Easy check in and check out. River made this a great experience by providing dining recommendations and being readily available for any questions. The bungalow is a beautiful home with original art on a quiet street that is close to shops and dining. A very warm and creative space. I would happily stay again.

  • Our host was accessable, helpful, and honest. Mostly we dealt via email or text but that was fine with us since we were on the road.

  • Beautiful, charming, restful. Fabulous location, woke each morning to a chorus of birds. Close to coffee, tea, great food, and thriving arts community. The house was so comfortable and beautifully furnished. Great experience.

  • Renting from River was great. He was really easy to work with and the check in and out was very easy. The house is exactly as presented and was immaculate. The artwork was very cool. I would definitely stay here if I find myself in Roanoke again and would recommend to anyone.

  • Very comfortable, clean, cozy home with everything we could have possibly needed. Close to downtown Roanoke and easy street side parking. We really appreciated River's attention to detail throughout our booking and confirmation process. He stayed in touch with us before, during and after our stay--and our only regret was not getting to meet him in person!

  • This was our very first airbnb experience and I cant say enough good things. The very best part for us was the hospitality of the host, River. We were in town for a night for a wedding at the Roanoke Hotel and needed an affordable place in close proximity to downtown. Couldn't have worked out any better. Rivers worked with us on our arrival and check-out times and was there to greet us and get us started when we checked in. It felt like we were house sitting for a friend. The home was very comfortable and artsy, yet simplistic ( in a very Euro kinda way).

  • River was very friendly and accommodating to me even with short notice. His conversation and helpfulness made my trip to Roanoke all the more better. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who is staying in the area

  • I think that Roanoke might be the friendliest place I've ever been, and River is no exception. He was wonderfully kind and flexible to accommodate our continually changing travel schedule and his home was the perfect abode during our visit. The neighborhood is darling and conveniently close to coffee shops, the greenway and parks. River was generous with suggestions about what to do in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you!
