About this listing
**I am looking for a subletter for June. Please contact me if interested! Thanks!**
This is a beautiful, cozy, corner studio on the fourth floor of an historic building in downtown New Haven. The location is ideal––opposite the Art School, adjacent to the stylish Study Hotel. Best of all, it's right next to the Yale Campus.
The apartment gets plenty of light, overlooks Yale's bell-towers, has hardwood floors, a full-size bed, comfy reading chair, snug kitchen, and custom closet for longer-term stays.
The neighborhood is my favorite part of New Haven. Take the elevator down to JoJo's cafe for a morning coffee. On the same block you'll find boutique shops, plenty of restaurants, theaters, galleries and museums.
What I love about this apartment is how quiet it is while being so centrally located. It's right next to shops and campus but when you get home you feel like you're in a sanctuary that's all yours.
I really enjoyed my stay at Josh's cozy studio. Josh was a very nice host, and was very responsive to a few questions I had. He was also very lenient about check in/out times. The apt. is conveniently located near cafes, shops, restaurants, and Yale where I was working. I also liked the decor of the apt. The place was clean and it was easy to find. Also I was happy there was an elevator for my bags. There is no AC but with the windows and fans it was fine. Thanks Josh!
This was my first Airbnb experience and it was all positive. I was in Yale to do some research and it was the perfect spot for my purposes: central and pleasant. The apartment was clean, cosy and fully kitted out: just right for my needs. Josh was an excellent host, always swift with responses to any queries, and very helpful with information about what to do and see in New Haven. It couldn't have gone better: thanks Josh!
We were given very good instructions for getting there, so our arrival was smooth and pleasant. The neighbourhood is great- a block from the museums and the Yale campus, exactly as described. It was a charming, characterful apartment, perfect for our needs.
We had a great stay at Josh's apartment. It was just as described and located conveniently to SCSU and Yale. It was a great central location for our house hunting. If you park in front to unload, make sure to pay the meter with plenty of time (tickets are $20 if you let it expire by even a minute!). In all the stay was as expected, it is a small, older, well-kept apartment and typical of what you would expect in a larger city. We would stay again or recommend to friends. Josh was very helpful and responsive when we had questions.
I had a fantastic experience staying at Josh's studio. He gave me all the information I needed for my trip, answered questions about the neighborhood and the studio looks just like the pictures. The location could not have been better for me since I just needed to get to and from Yale's campus. I would stay here again without question. Two thumbs up!
The apartment was located in a very accessible part of New Haven, and it was so easy to check in and out--even with those unforeseeable traveling kinks! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone going to New Haven. Since I was there on a research trip, it was within walking distance of everywhere I needed to be on the Yale campus, and in the evenings, great food was right around the corner. Fast internet, great ambiance, and overall, a cozy and comfortable place to stay.
Josh is a wonderful host. He sent us the keys ahead of time and even gave us a list of things to do including his favorite restaurants. When we arrived we were confused as to where to park, and he answered his phone right away and gave us great details on where to park so it would be free. His apartment is very small, but perfect for what we needed. The location is great and within walking distance of everything! You won't go wrong staying here! :)
