The Space

Well located and bright apartment in the heart of (website hidden)' Perdon is on the first floor and it is composed of a wide living room with a well equipped kitchen corner; two bedrooms, one with a master -king size- bed and the other one with two twin beds (under request we can prepare it like a queen bed) and a recently renovated bathroom with a big shower. The apartment is characterized by the typical venician floor and by a mixture of modern and baroque style fornishings. It is located in a central area of the city: only two minutes walk from Rialto, with its famous bridge and fish market, and ten minutes from St Mark square. The location is central, but at the same time quite and just outside the main touristic route. In the nearby there are many restaurants, pizzerias, bars and shops.
The closest waterbus stop is San Silvestro and from there you can easly reach all the main attractions by foot.
You will be scheduled for an appointment at the apartment with a particular person in charge of your arrival. Therefore your best possible indication of a specific arrival time and updates concerning any changes (delays etc.) are essential and will ensure the best possible entry process.

Check In
  • Apartment was great - layout was wonderful, kitchen was very nice. The person who checked us in gave us all kinds of info about the city, marked everything on the map and made sure we knew how to work everything in the apartment.

  • Everything was great at Ca' Perdon just off Campo Sant'Aponal. Communication was perfect leading up to meeting at the San Silvestro waterbus station and being taken to the apartment very close by. The bedrooms are separated by the lounge, so it's very private, and everything was very clean and beautifully furnished. The apartment building itself could be a little noisy at times, but never late. The alleys below were busy with shops below, which added to the exciting atmosphere. The Coop market was just at the end of one of the alleys where we could get all the groceries and drinks we were looking for. The location of this apartment is very hard to beat. It's close to the Rialto Bridge, so we could walk everywhere. Since it was sunny on our departure day, we just walked to the train station - about 20 minutes.
We really liked the apartment. It's up two flights of narrow stairs. One bedroom had a beautiful wardrobe. The other had no wardrobe or hooks, so we just had to live out of suitcases, but it was fine. We weren't able to use the bidet as the pipes were letting out a strong sewerage smell, but we suppose that must happen in Venice... Had some trouble with the washing machine - watch it closely when using it as the "express" setting didn't go through a proper cycle (seemed to be stuck before rinsing, and never shut off). The internet wasn't able to handle more than two devices at one time (it would just shut down), but otherwise, everything was great!

  • Laura (email hidden)e massaged us to inform us of which water bus line to take and which stop to get off at and that she would meet us there. It was definitely worth taking the water bus as it is very easy to get lost in Venice. She was there when we arrived and took us to the apartment (about a 2-3 minute walk) which was as presented in the photos. It was clean, airy, and ready for use. She had a map for us and marked out the best places to go (for walking, restaurants, places to see, ect. ).

The location is great - it does not have a canal view but there is a grocery store just down the street and it's about a 2-3 minute to the Grand Canal and a 7-10 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. My friend and I would definitely book with Laura again if we ever find ourselves in Venice again.

  • Laura's apartment is charming (email hidden) to stay in Venice. A friend of Laura's welcomed us by the nearby pier and showed us the way, providing us with tips for the stay. The apartment is furnished with taste, was perfectly clean and has all the amenities required when travelling. The internet is fast and supports video calls. It's true that windows give onto 2 noisy streets, but it wasn't an issue for us. We preferred the convenience of a 3 minutes walk to the Rialto bridge.

  • Thank you! We had a very nice stay in the apartment which was matching our expectations and we think the earlier reviews were adequately describing it also. I was traveling with my two teenage sons to visit the Art Biennale and to see Venice for the first time and we had a very good time.

  • Great stay at Ca'Perdon! We ended up arriving much later than expected after flight delays and airport staff strikes, but Laura was more than accommodating. Her communication was brilliant throughout the booking and arrival process and her guidance and instructions on the mark.

The flat is in a very central location - less than a 5-minute walk to Rialto Bridge - with plenty of cafes, restaurants & shops nearby. The Rialto Market is also just around the corner. The flat has two very spacious bedrooms, a modern bathroom (with shower - no bathtub), plenty of living room space and a decent-sized kitchen. The stairs up to the second floor (first floor for you North Americans) flat are a bit steep and the ceiling is very low, so be prepared to hunch over a bit! Comfortable beds and plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. The only downside is that it can get noisy in the flat at night and early in the morning because of foot traffic in the alleyways on either side of it. The noise of heels on the pavement, bin men's carts and people chatting on mobile phones echoes between the buildings. I'm sure this will be the case nearly everywhere in Venice, given the close quarters, so it's not so much a complaint as a tip! Bring earplugs and close the doors throughout the flat while you sleep to help to isolate the noise.

All in all Ca'Perdon really felt like a home away from home and I'd recommend the flat to anyone looking to stay in Venice.
