My wife and I were in Miami for just a few days, escaping Chiberia. We had a great time here at Tamara's Magic City Farm. Originally we wanted to stay on the beach, but we also wanted a kitchen. We ended up booking here and had the best of both worlds. There is a beach about 10 minutes away. South Beach was about 20 minutes or so and the Keys about 2 hours. We had a great time and will be back next time we're in Miami. Tamara, extra hugs to all those little puppies for us! Thanks again for everything!
Tamara's cottages are nothing short of magical. She creates such a special, warm, welcoming and beautiful atmosphere. Not only with the wonderful design elements, the beautiful plants everywhere, but it's also all the wonderful animals she has on the property which make it a special place. Tamara's very helpful, responsive and a wonderful host. i would absolutely recommend the cottage and tamara.
This is my second time staying at the Magic City Farm and this time we stayed in the Lime Tree cottage (our first stay was in the boathouse). The cottage was charming, clean, and comforable. Our stay was as equally restorative and rejuvenating as the first visit and Tamara a charming host who puts guests first. I had two issues arise out of this booking that reinforced to me that Tamara runs her business with integrity and concern for her guests. I arrived later than I had initiallyl stated and Tamara was not able to reach me when I first arrived in Miami and yet she stayed put to ensure I got their safety and to let me in - inconveniencing herself rather than letting me be inconvenienced. She also dealt with a discrepancy with the rate as posted on AirBNB directly with AirBNB and resolved things for me without me having to do anything. We are so enamoured with this place we will very likely return with extended family at Christams time :)
A quiet oasis in the middle of Miami. This turned out to be a delightful stay. The 1918 cottages, tastefully decorated decorated with folk art, are tucked into mature tropical landscaping are perfect for this setting. Tamara was equally charming. One does need a car as groceries and good restaurants are nearby but not within walking distance. We enjoyed light dinners on our porch with dishes from the well stocked communal kitchen.
I imagine paradise like this. Surrounded by a beautiful garden with amazing plant compositions next to the water with it's wildlife inhabitants. Not only Tamara is an absolutely welcoming host, also all her animal friends are curious and friendly. By car, this is a great base to explore Miami in every direction. Very inspiring. Now that I look at Tamaras profile picture again, I am quite disappointed not haveing met the parrot ... I will have to return.
Magic City Farm is an oasis in the city - charming, quiet, full of little surprises. We had a fabulous stay and left refreshed and relaxed. Staying with our 10-week old baby was a breeze - Tamara was extremely an extremely welcoming and accommodating host. We'll be back for sure!
Tamara was a great host who was always available and with a big smile. The cottage was adorable and the bed was comfortable. We woke up every morning with dogs and cats on our front porch for petting. No problem parking and an easy drive to Miami Beach and access to the highways to travel elsewhere in south Florida.
