Super spacious apartment in the historic center of Salvador, Brazil! You'll be a five minute walk from night life, yet will appreciate coming back home to this low-key neighborhood and quiet street. Plus, walking distance from the World Cup matches at Fonte Nova stadium.

Here, your rent will include all utilities and household expenses, including high speed internet. Use of the washing machine is available for an additional contribution.
Here's the deal: the apartment is three floors. On the first floor is a suite, the second has two bedrooms, and the third is the covered roof deck - breezy and beautiful! Let's start there: from the terrace you'll enjoy a great view of the city, and can use the washing machine and grill. You can also hang, have dinner, stretch, exercise, knock yourself out! The access to the terrace is through our bedroom, which we keep open almost all day to ensure guests can access the roof.
Your room here will be on the second floor, next to the hammock/sun room. You will have plenty of shelf and hanger space for your clothes and belonging, as well as a desk should you need it. A fan as well to keep cool - it is hot in Salvador!
The kitchen is small, but decked out with all the pots, pans and utensils you'll need. Fridge space and shelf space, too. If you're not into cooking, you'll still love the big kitchen table in the dining area.
There are two living room spaces: one downstairs at the entrance of the house and one upstairs that sometimes serves as a room. They are both fairly breezy and have comfortable seating and hammocks.
The outdoor spaces are also really special. One small patio area opens out from the first floor, and is home to the washing machine, two bathrooms and a little garden. Storage space is also available there, should you need it. Then upstairs is the covered roof deck - the best space for hanging clothes, enjoying the view, all that.
Now that you know the apartment, let's talk about the neighborhood. Santo Antônio is next to the famous historical center of Pelourinho, but it's much quieter and less touristy, so it's a great place to come back to. It is a quiet area with beautiful, old buildings and some of Salvador's best hotels and inns. Ours is a small and humble side street with a great community of neighbors.
One side of the neighborhood looks out over the bay, so you'll have plenty of chances go out for delicious food or a cold beer while watching the sunset over the water, or seeing all the lights of the bay and lower city at night.
Finally, you will find most of what you need here in Santo Antônio. There are bakeries, supermarkets, bars and restaurants, and bus stops all in the area. But careful, on Sundays many things in Brazil close early or don't open at all.
Lovely home close to, but not right in the centre of town. Julia has decorated her home simply but elegantly and the house is very spacious. Rooftop deck provides a great view and hammocks are a plus. Julia and Fuca are welcoming hosts and were very helpful in arranging transport on our trips to and from the airport. Thank you, Dan + Una
I had a wonderful stay in Julia's and Fuca's place. The location is perfect and the house is very nice. You can reach the pelhourino within few minutes walk, the old fort as well from where you have a wonderful view of the city. Shops are all around and open till late. Thanks for your hospitality and hope to see you gain soon
We spent a wonderful time in Salvador. Julia's home was nice and clean. She herself was very helpful, always asked if there was anything we needed. She has also a nice dog. Thank you, Julia, for your hospitality!
Julia had a friend looking after us as she was away when we stayed. Her friend Su went beyond the call of beauty & made our stay in Salvador truly memorable!
Our stay with Julia was a good way to end our Brazilian holiday. We were invited to a BBQ the first night we got there and had a comfortable stay the rest of the way through. Her cute apartment is located pretty much in Pelourinho. It is a good neighborhood to meet people and there were plenty of sights to see. Thanks Julia, Emma and Gus :)
House located a short walk from Salvador´s historic center, clean house, nice room, open use of other spaces, good price/quality, excellent Wifi, friendly welcome - just a little cool, controlled, not really interested in others (Julia - not her boyfriend). Who is not looking for human warmth, I can highly recommend the stay.
The flat is located in Pelurinho: touristic center and even the Elevator is within walking distance. Julia and her boyfriend is very nice. The room had a shared bathroom with our hosts, but there is also one on the ground floor. There is a roof terrace through their bedroom, which is also available:) Our room had a window to the living room, which was comfortably windy. Good price/quality.
Julia's home was great - very spacious, clean and well kept. The hammock room and rooftop deck were a great bonus. She and her partner were very laid back and even though I was out most of the time, I enjoyed every interaction with them. The location is very close to Pelourinho - just note that the streets are pretty deserted and quiet later into the evenings, so it's important to take proper precaution when traveling unaccompanied.
It was great to stay at Julia's place. The neighborhood is great and both her and her boyfriend answer every question you may have, and give you some suggestions.
