ALTHOUGH MY CALENDAR SAYS OTHERWISE, THE ROOM IS AVAIABLE ON THE 10th, 11th, and 12th of JUNE.
I live in a three-bedroom apartment on the most charming and sophisticated shopping street in São Paulo, but on its quieter and more residential half, and my guest's bedroom is avaiable.
My apartment is very well located - one block away from a subway station (Estação Clínicas), 1 km. far from Avenida Paulista and 4 km. away from Parque do Ibirapuera.
You can have your own bedroom and bathroom, cook your own food, use the laundry facilities of the apartment, the study-room, and the living-room as well as the dining-room.
A cleaning lady comes once a week and she can also iron your clothes.
Bed linen and towels are included and changed every week.
Breakfast is not included because I myself leave home everyday on an empty stomach, but you're free to use the kitchen and make your own breakfast. You can also have a fancy breakfast at Las Chicas - within walking distance from the apartment - or go to any of the three excellent bakeries around my block.
As for your other meals, my kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave oven, a dishwasher, and everything you need in case you feel like cooking them at home. There's a supermarket at the corner and an amazing street market at the end of the street on Sunday mornings.
You are invited to go into my study-room and browse through my books. You can even borrow some in case you like Literature and Arts. You can use the study-room to work or read - there's a very comfortable sofa there and it's a nice place to go to if you want peace and quiet.
You are invited to play the piano if you can and any musical instrument you feel like bringing is welcome.
I can also help you in case you need an interpreter and/or a guide with a car (we can negotiate that either inbox or personally).
Please, have a look at my map and my guide so that you can have an idea of what my neighbourhood is like.
I might already be biased -- I have made Thais' place my homebase while in Brazil... and will stay with Thais again in the next few days - need I say more?
i've stayed with Thais for more than a week... and i will be coming back for another week... and then another and then some. so yes, it's a place that you'd want to keep coming back for more. Thais is a wonderful host. I am traveling alone and she helped me in so many ways - giving me tips where to go to sao paulo, what to do in brazil, etc... she has even very kindly introduced me to her family and friends and accompanied me (drove me in fact) to go to places and do fun stuff - it's almost like a have a second home with Thais. I have not only stayed in a great place, i have made a friend. AWESOME!
Thais has been a very welcoming person, the room is really clean as well as your private bathroom.
Thais is really helping you if you are visiting Sao Paulo, she takes a lot of her time to find you the best event at the concert hall, or the various restaurants you need to try out (especially Japanese ones). She is really good at speaking English and have a lot of ideas to share on whatever subjects you want to discuss. Recommended.
Thais is a wonderful host, great conversationalist and a true connoisseur of the best her city has to offer. What is awesome about her listing is the amazing location, the charm and personal history. What you see in the photos are an accurate display of the character and cleanliness of her beautiful home.
Oscar Freire street is São Paulo's answer to Rodeo Drive, so you will find plenty of couture and high end shopping throughout the area. Thais filled her Guidebook with wonderful recommendations highlighting amazing places unique to her neighborhood, so take the opportunity to explore beyond those recognizable brand name places down the street.
One of her recommendations is the best gelato found this side of the hemisphere, the Bacio di Latte creamery, so make sure to check it out.
In the same block as the listing you can find a supermarket, a pub and a great bakery to help you begin your day the Brazilian way with some delicious coffee and freshly baked bread.
Thanks to Thais getting to know São Paulo was an intimate adventure because she made me feel at home in no time at all.

500 words are probably not enough to praise Thaîs' hospitality! She's one of those people who are natural conversationalists (nowadays very rare to find), who will make you feel at home! I highly recommend her as a host, specially if you need any advice on what to do in São Paulo (and Rio, she's from there). She's very much in the "in" about the cultural offerings of the city and can offer great tips. I usually like to stay by myself in apartments, but with Thaïs, I plan to come back to her as much as I can when I'm in São Paulo. Also, the metro is SUPER close and the street...well it's Oscar Freire, need I say more?
Thais es una excelente anfitriona!!!, me sentí totalmente en casa.
La ubicación es excelente, segura, con muchos restaurantes ricos cerca. Dos estaciones de metro cerca.
La casa es muy acogedora, decorada con muy buen gusto.
To start with, I felt at home!
The apartment is located on one of the best neighborhoods of Sao Paulo. As soon as you enter the apartment, Thais is there to welcome you. She has a list of all places to visit in Sao Paulo and the best places to eat. The place is close to everything. You can find grocery stores, bus stop and a metro station at 2 minutes walking distance. There are a lot of places to eat close by.
My stay was a long one in Sao Paulo and I never felt even for a single day that I was away from home.
The apartment is really clean and without a doubt, has everything you need. I also got a chance to meet a lot of Thais' friends who are all very nice people. I also got a chance to show my culinary skills to Thais and her friends.
The biggest thing is that she speaks very good english and has a lot of stories to share :) . She even guided me to all the places I can visit in Rio.
At the end, I would recommend every one to book this apartment without thinking twice!! :)
I had a great time staying with Thais. The apartment is lovely and very comfortable and the location is quite convenient (close to a metro stop, a supermarket, plenty of restaurants, and in a nice area). Thais herself is so helpful, and gave me wonderful tips on sightseeing and navigating the city, which made staying in São Paulo much easier and more enjoyable. I definitely recommend this place!
