About this listing
I live in a three-bedroom apartment on the most charming and sophisticated shopping street in São Paulo, but on its quieter and more residential half, and my guest's bedroom is avaiable.
My apartment is very well located - one block away from a subway station (Estação Clínicas), 1 km. far from Avenida Paulista and 4 km. away from Parque do Ibirapuera.
You can have your own bedroom and bathroom, cook your own food, use the laundry facilities of the apartment, the study-room, and the living-room as well as the dining-room.
A cleaning lady comes once a week and she can also iron your clothes.
Bed linen and towels are included and changed every week.
Breakfast is not included because I myself leave home everyday on an empty stomach, but you're free to use the kitchen and make your own breakfast. You can also have a fancy breakfast at Las Chicas - within walking distance from the apartment - or go to any of the three excellent bakeries around my block.
As for your other meals, my kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave oven, a dishwasher, and everything you need in case you feel like cooking them at home. There's a supermarket at the corner and an amazing street market at the end of the street on Sunday mornings.
Coffee (Nespresso) and tea are on the house.
You are invited to go into my study-room and browse through my books. You can even borrow some in case you like Literature and Arts. You can use the study-room to work or read - there's a very comfortable sofa there and it's a nice place to go to if you want peace and quiet.
You are invited to play the piano if you can and any musical instrument you feel like bringing is welcome.
I can also help you in case you need an interpreter and/or a guide with a car (we can negotiate that either inbox or personally).
Please, have a look at my map and my guide so that you can have an idea of what my neighbourhood is like.
IMPORTANT: The bed in the guest's room is a trundle bed so a second guest is welcome if you're not travelling by yourself.
KEYS - Typically, I will plan to meet you at home so I can welcome you and hand you the keys in person.
NOISE - According to Brazilian Laws, we are not supposed to listen to loud music or make very loud noises between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
WASHING MACHINE - You can wash your clothes as often as you wish, but I'd ask you to buy your own soap and fabric softener.
DISHWASHER - You can use it for everything except glasses - for some strange reason, the machine does not rinse the glasses properly, so I'd ask you to wash the glasses in the sink.
GARBAGE - We recycle.
YOUR ROOM - You are not expected to make your bed every day (although I must admit I'd be very pleased if you did), but I hope you can keep your bedroom and your bathroom clean, neat, and tidy, because the cleaning lady comes only once a week. NO EATING in the bedroom, please!
KITCHEN - You can use as often as you wish as long as you leave it as clean as you've found it. In other words, please, leave the stove, the sink, the table, and the floor always clean after you've finished cooking or having your meals.
VISITORS - No visiting allowed without prior consulting with me.
PHONE CALLS - Only local calls (in the city of São Paulo) and NOT to cell phones.
