John's place is very clean and quiet. The location is perfect being close to restaurants, coffee and shopping. There is also a walking/running/ biking path close. John quickly answered all my questions and accommodated my schedule.
Fabulous studio apartment! Couldn't have asked for more. Convenient location right in Sellwood neighborhood. Beautifully decorated. Very cozy - so much better than staying in an impersonal hotel.
This place is clean, crisp, nicely decorated, and stocked wtih lots of kitchen gadgets you might need. The coffee is top-notch, and the bed is super comfy with really nice, cotton sheets. The place is immaculately clean, and if you run into the cleaning person, she's fabulous.
That said. it's also dark -- remember, it's a basement apartment -- and there are no reading lights or any other lights that can provide ambiance; rather, there are overhead very-bright lights only. So it's either dark, or brilliantly light. If you are sensitive to bright lights, this is not the place for you. Further, the listing doesn't reveal that this is one of four AirBnB rentals in a single four-plex structure. It doesn't feel like an "airbnb" to me -- there's no one here on site to ask questions, no way to meet the owner or experience local life from a local's point of view. This is very like a hotel. This unit is behind on the ground floor. The weekend we were there, we endured lots of clomping around and furniture squeaks and what-not, for hours. So you don't want to hang out in this apartment for long -- be sure you are busy and have somewhere to go.
The apartment was beautiful and very clean, and in a great neighborhood.
John was always helpful and prompt answering any questions.
This apartment is cozy and clean filled with modern, comfortable furniture and bright touches throughout.. Shoes should be taken off upon entering, which I don't mind, especially when there are cute slippers waiting for you on a bench next to the door. Have I mentioned it's clean! This apartment is within walking distance to a great neighborhood with excellent coffee, public houses with great beer and fun people, excellent food, and fun shops. It's also close to tthe Oak Wildlife Refuge - a beautiful and peaceful place to walk. Plenty of hangers in the closet, a towel warming rack in the bathroom - all nice touches. I'll be back.
I would definitely stay here again. John was very quick to respond to any concerns we had. The studio was very warm, quiet and close to great restaurants and shops. Had everything we needed. Thanks John!
This is a really cute place. It is walking distance to the heart of Sellwood and all that it has to offer. John is very accommodating. Since my wife and I had scheduled separate events during our visit to the area, we asked for a second key to the studio. John did not hesitate to provide one. Since we tend to frequent a couple of places in the Sellwood area when we visit Portland, we would certainly look to stay in this studio again.
John was very responsive, which I really appreciate in a host. The location adjacent to Sellwood, one of my favorite neighborhoods in Portland. The space was comfortable and clean. I recommend staying here!
Lovely studio, great location....even better we could have our dog. And the towel warmer...I had no idea what I was missing; going to invest in one right away! Thank you John, we really enjoyed our stay.
Great place! I loved it so much, I booked it for a longer stay!
