The cozy apartment was just that! It felt like coming home. This was our first time using Airbnb and the bar is set high! John has thought of every amenity: from fresh coffee beans, bur grinder and two types of coffee pots, to a hairdryer, nice shampoo and soft towels. The location was pefect - right off the #19 bus line and one block from our must see dessertery, Papa Heydn. The foot traffic from the upstairs apartment can be heard some but nothing bothersome. We'll definitely stay at John's place again when we return to Portland.
We really liked Yukon Studio! It was clean, quiet (a little clomping around upstairs on friday nite and sat morning, but nothing that kept us awake or woke us up.) nicely decorated and the floorplan was very workable. John was an email away for everything and very quick to respond. We are going back to stay again in July. Nuff said!
We really enjoyed our stay at Cozy Yukon! The apartment was exactly as presented or even nicer. The location was great, nice neighborhood with easy access to all of Portland. John was available if needed and was very nice. We definitely will recommend Cozy Yukon to our friends. Thanks for a great place.
This apartment in Sellwood is wonderful! It was so close to everything that I needed, and was bright, modern, and cheerful. John, my host was super quick to respond to my query when I arrived after a long day of travel. This studio felt private, yet secure, and was immaculately clean. I highly recommend it for your stay in SE Portland.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Yukon Studio Apartment. Although we did not meet John, he was available via phone and text to answer questions. The location was great for our purposes and we would definitely return again. The flowers and wine added a nice touch. Thank you,
John is awesome to rent from!!
John's place is very clean and quiet. The location is perfect being close to restaurants, coffee and shopping. There is also a walking/running/ biking path close. John quickly answered all my questions and accommodated my schedule.
Fabulous studio apartment! Couldn't have asked for more. Convenient location right in Sellwood neighborhood. Beautifully decorated. Very cozy - so much better than staying in an impersonal hotel.
This place is clean, crisp, nicely decorated, and stocked wtih lots of kitchen gadgets you might need. The coffee is top-notch, and the bed is super comfy with really nice, cotton sheets. The place is immaculately clean, and if you run into the cleaning person, she's fabulous.
That said. it's also dark -- remember, it's a basement apartment -- and there are no reading lights or any other lights that can provide ambiance; rather, there are overhead very-bright lights only. So it's either dark, or brilliantly light. If you are sensitive to bright lights, this is not the place for you. Further, the listing doesn't reveal that this is one of four AirBnB rentals in a single four-plex structure. It doesn't feel like an "airbnb" to me -- there's no one here on site to ask questions, no way to meet the owner or experience local life from a local's point of view. This is very like a hotel. This unit is behind on the ground floor. The weekend we were there, we endured lots of clomping around and furniture squeaks and what-not, for hours. So you don't want to hang out in this apartment for long -- be sure you are busy and have somewhere to go.
The apartment was beautiful and very clean, and in a great neighborhood.
John was always helpful and prompt answering any questions.
