  • Marian made us feel welcome by being very forthcoming to our requests, and also receiving us with some nice scones! The mobile home has a large living space and convenient kitchen. Ofcourse the bedrooms were compact but that's to be expected from a mobile home. Marian and her family were there to answer to our needs and questions. Located conveniently close to wonderful sights in Clare and not far from the ferry services at Doolin.

  • Marian and her family were great! Extremely nice people. It was a pleasure to met them. Marian made time to share a tea with us and we had a great time discussing many different topics. The place we rented from her was perfect and we had a true Ireland experience there. I would recommend staying there if you have the opportunity. It was centrally located and allowed us to move around the area very easily! Thanks Marian, Daniel and Matthew!

  • Marian was a very nice host. She even offered me cake and tea when I arrived which was lovely. Her whole family was nice to me and quite helpful. The place can get quite cold at night but there's a fireplace in the living room and heaters in the bedrooms. The electric blanket helps too. Kilfenora is a lovely location and a perfect base if you're planning to explore The Burren and visit The Cliffs of Moher. You will need to have your own car though.

  • Marian was an excellent host right from the get go! My phone didn't work internationally, but she stayed up on communicating with me and picked me up from the bus stop in town to take me to her farm. She greeted me warmly and told me, "You're very welcome here in Ireland." When we got to the farm, she gave me a tour of the caravan, showed me how to use the heat, the shower, the stove. She also offered to take me into town when she went in the evening. She made me a cup of tea and fed me apple pie while she, her husband, and I chatted about plans for my journey. They were both so helpful, and Marian went out of her way to give me rides to and from places, when she was heading out to work or run errands. She (email hidden) in Kilfenora, called Vaughan's, definitely go when you're in town. Get a toasty and a Guinness, and tell Michael the bartender I say, "hello". Staying at Marian's was the best way to begin my trip in Ireland. The place was fun, quirky, clean. It was just what I needed. Thank you, Marian for being such a wonderful, warm, hospitable host!

  • I had the pleasure of staying with John and Marian for two weeks. In the US we would call them "Country" which translates to "Good People". They try to be self sufficient on their farm, located in a beautiful part of Ireland, close to many of the wonders of Ireland. They are kind, generous, thoughtful and intelligent yet humble.
John took me to one of the local Pubs for a pint, well a few pints, and the next morning they checked to see how I was John said, " you did pretty good last night", which I sincerely took as a complement!
If you are willing to try country living you can't go wrong, I know I didn't!

  • We had a wonderful three day stay here. We had a wonderful welcome from Marian, who had left us a delicious locally made apple tart. The mobile home was scrupulously clean, and very charming, equipped with everything you need to cater for yourself. We got caught in the rain on our second day there, and when we got home we were able to switch on the gas fire for half an hour, which made the place very cosy, almost instantly.

The mobile home is perfectly situated, in front of a large field which contained three curious horses. There was a wonderful view from the windows, into green fields and woods on all sides. The mobile home is placed beside Marian's house, but there was still a great sense of privacy.

It is near Kilfenora, a lovely little Clare village. We were lucky enough to be there on a day when trad musicians were collecting to play in the centre of the town, and even got to hear the famous Kilfenora Céilí band play. It is a great spot to explore the burren from. We managed to take in many of the great walks and sites that Clare had to offer. I would highly recommend this place as a no-fuss, easy-going place to stay.

  • Marian is a lovely and very welcoming host. Her mobil-home is very well equipped and perfectly located to visit the Arran Islands, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren National Park.

  • Marian was such a great hostess. She didn't mind us getting there late for we had under-estimated the time it would take to get to her place. She even left an apple pie in the kitchen for us! She was very kind and helpful. The mobile home was fine for our 2-nights stay. It's not a 5 star hotel but that's not what we expected anyway. One of my brothers was a bit too tall for the bed, but other than that the mobile home has all the basic conveniences, including (very important!) a good shower with hot water and good pressure. It's also very close to the Cliffs of Moher. Fot those looking for an affordable accomodation in the heart of the Burren, this is the place !
