The Space

***Free coffee and tea***
***Free access to The American Museum of Natural History***

This is my second property, it's an extension from my first property.
This is a 3bedroom 1bathroom apartment.
It is pretty convenient close to grocery, restaurant, art store, Navy Yard, Pratt Institute.
My favorite spot is Dough on Franklin and Laffayette. It serves the most delicious donuts from 7am-7pm everyday.
All the cab services around the neighborhood know the building Taaffe Loft. It used to be a sewing factory back in the day. It makes sense that it is next to Pratt.
The building has not only one but 2 elevators, and laundry is in the basement. I will provide clean linens and laundry card as well as detergent.
There are 3 bedroom, one is mine, one is a private room for up to 2 people, and one is your shared room with 4beds. The maximum capacity is 7, meaning you will share the bathroom with 6-7 people. So if you are looking to make friends, this is the place.
It is on Classon stop on the G train and only 2 blocks away.
There are more than 5 bus lines around it to Williamsburg, downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Museum and etc.
I love cooking, and if someone is willing to chip in, I will be more than happy to have a dinner party on Friday nights.

  • I had a great time staying at Hanna's apartment, although i didn't get to meet her as she was out of town the people staying there were pretty cool and the place was comfortable, not quite as clean as the pictures but well when you have 7 people sharing a 2 room aptmnt its pretty rare to see it that organized. Nonetheless i enjoyed brooklyn and i'd definitely recommend the homestel.

  • I enjoyed my experience. Hahn's place was described accurately, and her directions (for someone unfamiliar with NYC) were spot on. It was clean, close to the subway, and my fellow roomies couldn't have been cooler. There is a Police Station a stone's throw away and the neighborhood seems safe. In truth, this was a last minute travel decision for me, and I was just looking for a place to sleep and take a quick shower- without spending a fortune. Hahn's place fit the bill.

  • I really enjoyed my days in New York and it was very nice staying at Hannah's Homestel. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and has a cozy atmosphere. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the subway is very close. And Hannah and the other guests were really great! I would definitely recommend this place.

  • I am/was very happy of my stay in the apartment. The apartment itself looks really nice, high ceiling, nice decoration, big windows, A/C,....
You don't really have a lot of space to storage your clothes, but maybe that's because I have so many :-)
But there is a closet and drawers. My roommates were really nice. Everyone respected each other, what is also necessary when you share a room all together.
The neighborhood is safe and the subway is really close. There is also a supermarket right at the corner of the street.

  • Hannahs place is a cool homestel situated in a safe environment. The subway station is close by, so easy to get around. Loved the neighbourhood which is worth seeing and spending time in. There are many nice cafes and little shops just few blocks away, and the brooklyn flea market is also a 15 minute run away.
Hannah herself is a really nice host, she was very flexible when I informed her of my late arrival. She gave very good information and was helpful in every way.
Would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • As this being my first 'bnb' and first time moving to New York City, I was a bit hesitate about staying in someone else's home. Hanna (and the guests I stayed with) made this place a home away from home.

I had no complaints, I stayed two weeks, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Great introduction into NY. Amazing experience.

I moved to California after highschool in Vietnam. Then I moved to New York after college in San Jose. I want to become an entrepreneur, and work on opening my hostel in Brooklyn in the near future. It has been a year since I rent out my apartment on airbnb. I met many interesting people all around the world. At this moment, I am in California, hoping to start my own food truck, and non-profit organization. My friend Stephanie who travels around the world with her silk in now in charge of my place. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us.
