The Space

A recently refurbished studio in the East Village/Alphabet city. Steps away from the most interesting, cool restaurants, bars, cafes, speakeasies, beer houses and venues

The studio is recently renovated with new hardwood floors. New cabinets, recently painted. The queen size bed, headboard and coffee table are custom made from reclaimed beams and planks from old New York buildings.

The bed is a comfortable queen mattress with high thread count sheets, feather pillows and down comforter with a Eucalyptus Origins cover.

Air conditioner to keep the apartment cool and linens provided.
High speed wireless, and TV with a HDMI cable to plug your computer into for watching.

The kitchen is equipped with a full set of pots and pans, microwave, utensils, Bialetti moka maker and a french press. Feel free to cook and help yourself to coffee or tea. The kitchen table folds flat for extra space and also folds open to comfortably sit six.

Besides being in one of the best neighborhoods in the city. You're a short walking distance to the Lower East Side, Union Square, Greenwich Village, SoHo or a short subway ride anywhere else downtown/Times Square/Central Park.

  • Jeremy was very accommodating with our early arrival on Saturday morning. Our only other correspondence was regarding a small issue with the internet during a storm which was well communicated and fixed the same day.

The apartment was as described and in a great location! LES is our favourite neighbourhood in NYC and Jeremy's place was perfectly located here. We felt safe, and the surroundings quickly became familiar and were never daunting - we walked everywhere in NYC and even late at night we felt at home in this neighbourhood.

The only downfall to this place is the elephant that likes to run downstairs every morning and slam the front door.

  • Neighbourhood is excellent. Having explored the city really glad this was our base. Plenty of conveniences, bars, restaurants and more. Neighbours were really friendly and happy to offer recommendations.

Flat was small but perfect for our needs. Bed and bedding was good quality and very comfortable. Good wifi connection which was very useful and we soon realised essential for planning our days out as it's difficult to find when out in the city.

Overall we had an excellent stay and we would stay here again.

  • We had a great stay at this apartment which is in a fantastic location just a short walk from all the bars and restaurants in the east village. It had everything we could have needed (iron, strong shower, good sized fridge and all kitchen equipment) and Jeremy kept in touch to let us know about a change of plans regarding the keys. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment to a couple or single traveler looking for good value accommodation in a good location.

The main downside to the apartment was the fact that it was next to the front door and faces on to the street. The noise woke me a couple of times but I did get used to it and it wasn't a big deal. The apartment could also get quite warm at times, we switched the radiator off but there were still hot water in the pipework which gave out heat. However, it was probably inevitable that we would struggle to get the temperature right as it was May and the weather was quite changeable.

  • Jeremy's place is very well located and well appointed. We spent a lot of time walking in the nearby vicinity, where there are loads of coffee places (9th Street Espresso being a high point), restaurants, and bars. We were on Houston, in the thick of the LES, or on the subway in minutes. The bed is very comfortable, the kitchenette suitable for morning coffee and/or meal preparation, and the bathroom nice with excellent water pressure in the shower.
As a host, Jeremy was exceptionally prompt, helpful, and direct. We were able to get our keys easily, and checking out was equally simple.
In short, this was a wonderful getaway and a fantastic Air BnB experience for the both of us.

  • Great apartment in excellent location. It's on the ground floor, which is v convenient if you have luggage - as we did. We were two friends and stayed there for 11 nights. It made an excellent base for our various independent & collective adventures! Would definitely recommend this Jeremy's place as a good, neutral, comfortable place to be based. There's also decent storage for suitcases & space to hang things.

It's also really near the park on the river, which is great for running! Jeremy was also v accommodating regarding our check in/ out times and it was also good value for money.

  • We had an excellent experience staying at the apartment. It was clean, in very good shape, and an ideal size for two people. There was strong water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower, and the bed was large and comfortable.

We were happy with the location on a quiet residential block. Although it's true that the closest subway stations are a 15-20 minute walk away, we didn't find it to be much of a problem.

Jeremy was extremely helpful and communicative. He responded to questions very rapidly and gave us helpful advice. His professionalism made the experience nearly effortless. I would happily be his guest again.

  • Great location in the east village. I had no problems getting keys, even when my flight was delayed by an hour.

  • I did not get to meet Jeremy, but he is communicative and very easy to deal with. Picking up the keys is simple, and the apartment is clean and looks exactly like the photos.
I also enjoyed the location - close to great bars and restaurants, but the block is still quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. Don't miss Edi and the Wolf, right around the corner! I needed a/c my first night there and it worked well. I would stay here again.

  • It was a very comfortable stay at Jeremy's and he was very helpful whenever we needed anything.

I work at a boutique law firm in New York. Enjoy traveling and fortunately have one of the few legal jobs that allows me to do so. I absolutely love downtown New York, the East Village, West Village and SoHo. If you're coming by, I'm always happy to give recommendations for cool restaurants and cocktail bars.
