Hello. I'm renting a room in my apartment. It's a large loft style place with a nice comfortable bedroom. Unlike most places in New York, there is plenty of space so you won't feel cramped.
A kitchen is available for your use. We also have a cleaner than comes in regularly and keeps the place pretty spotless.
It is located near to Wall Street and just two blocks from the World Trade Center. The subway is only one block away.
The area is quite lively. It is a short walk to TriBeCa and also to the Seaport, two of my favorite areas in the city. There are also lots of great bars and restaurants nearby on Stone Street. I'm happy to make suggestions about good places to eat and drink.
I speak fluent Spanish and can chat in Italian.
The apartment has wifi. A room is also available with a large high definition TV if you would prefer. I don't have cable but I do have access to Netflix.
There is a nice grand piano in the apartment that you are welcome to play. (I play a lot myself so I keep it well tuned.)
For people who want to stay a bit longer, there is a laundry just over the street. They are very cheap and good at getting clothes back within 24 hours. As a special deal I can offer one free batch of wash-dry laundry for guests that are staying for four days or more.
I can provide clean towels if people need them.
It would be great if people could avoid smoking the apartment.
The only really expensive item in the house is a grand piano. People are welcome to play the piano. But if you could avoid placing drinks on it or scratching it, that would be appreciated. (I try to take really good care of it.)
Big apartment and in a great location! Very close to the subway and central to some great restaurants and bars. Chris was away during our stay but his friend Jeff was so kind and always asking if we needed help or advice. Overall a wonderful experience
I was greeted by Jeff who was a great host while Christopher is away! The apartment looks exactly like the pictures. The bedroom is spacious and the bed is comfy. Towels, sheets, blankets and even a space heater were provided. The apartment is in a great location, close to shops, restaurants and subway. Will definitely stay here again when need be!
Jeff was a great host, and very easy to be around. He was helpful, and just generally a nice guy. The apartment is great - large and well located in the financial district which is what I needed. It is very sparsely furnished which I guess is a matter of taste, but overall very nicely kept. A solid option, particularly considering the price. I definitely had no complaints.
We had an excellent experience with Jeff who was covering for Chris who was away on business. I highly recommend this place. Walking distance to the subway station and just in a great part of the city in general. Jeff was very welcoming and was able to give us some good pointers for our stay. Clean place. Good bed. Overall an excellent experience.

I'm originally from England but I've lived in America for 10 years now. I work as a journalist. Outside work I really enjoy playing the piano and learning languages.
