Ron was a great host! He is friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. The house itself was spectacular - gorgeous kitchen, nice hot tub, swing, hammock, pool, lounge chairs. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom clean and modern. Continental breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The location is residential and peaceful. A great way to spend a night or two in wine country!
Ron is a wonderful host. He was there to meet and greet us on our arrival and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed talking with him and relaxing in his hot tub and hammock. The house is centrally located to all the great things to do in the wine country and we loved staying there. We'd recommend this place to anyone traveling in the wine country.
Ron was a fantastic host! He was always there when we needed something. My wife and I loved the back area with the pool, hammock and hot tub! Thanks Ron for making our trip a fantastic one!
Staying with Ronald was awesome! He is very accomodating, friendly, and thoughtful. My partner and I plan to stay here again very soon! The pool is beautiful, the hot-tub is perfect, and our only regret about the experience is that we had only could spend one night!
Ron did a great job of having a welcoming home to stay. Ron made it feel more like a resort than a room with the wonderful pool side patio, flowering garden, hot tub, and collection of bird houses. The open kitchen looks over his bird house collection that welcomes birds of all sorts to the platforms and bird-bath for a snack. Ron also provided some fresh made bakery with organic jams along with fresh cut fruit with yogurt - a perfect breakfast. I'll certainly be looking to stay with Ron during my next trip to Santa Rosa.
Ron met us at the door and showed us around the house. He has a beautiful kitchen and backyard. We enjoyed coffee on the patio and evenings in the hot tub. The room was nice with private bath. Ron was easy to visit with and was very helpful. Enjoyed watching the World Series games with him. The breakfasts were good and plentiful.
Ron was warm and hospitable - you will feel as much like a member of the family as you wish. He respected my private time, was quiet and considerate, responsive and available, and very generous with his home and beautiful yard. Great deal for wine country!
About the Host, Ronald
Hi. I'm a retired chef who stills loves to cook, now in my own gourmet kitchen. I'm also an accomplished handy-man, turning my home into a tropical oasis. I love giving parties, scuba diving, free diving for abalone, gardening & travel. I've traveled extensively in the US and Europe. I've been scuba diving in the Philippines, Mexico, Hawaii, Belize and Australia. I've done a lot of traveling and camping, with my son, in Australia where we dived the Great Barrier Reef, went hot air ballooning in the middle of the outback, walked Ayers Rock and watched the sunrise, scaled the Sydney Harbor Bridge. We've been to Alaska fishing for halibut & flying to Mt. McKinley, landing on glaciers and exploring Denali National Park where we saw grizzly bears in the wild. Gardening is also a passion, ever since I was a boy in my grandfather's vegetable garden in Boulder Creek, Ca. I love to entertain and meet new people. And I hope to travel to new tropical paradises where the water is clear and warm.
