My husband and I live in a 3+1 bedroom condominium in the Dutamas vicinity. We've an extra room to spare for anyone visiting Malaysia on a short holiday. The room we're renting is one with a queen-sized bed. There are 3 bathrooms, of which only one en-suite bathroom will be yours to use.
We have cable TV and you're more than welcome to watch he tele with us. Although, my husband is a die-hard Liverpool fan and on nights when there is a EPL football match or any other league match, you may be forced to watch the same. ;)
There is no WiFi at our home. You will need to connect to the 3G service on your device to be able to use the Internet. Data charges from your network operator may apply. Please check with them.
One floor down is the gym, pool, cafe and grocery store, which is at your disposal. Lights by the pool are switched off by 2200. The same with the grocery store and cafe. They both close by 10pm but they do close a little later on Fridays and Saturdays.
The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very affordable prices, ranging from RM8 for a complete meal. Portions are sufficient. I would particularly recommend this cafe as the husband-wife team are a stickler for cleanliness and ultimate foodies. Be assured that you will always be served a mouth-watering Asian dish!
My husband and I both work during the day. So if you are visiting us during the week, we can offer you a ride to the LRT stations in the morning. And if you return to the same spot by the time we return from work, we can offer you a ride back as well. There is insufficient bus services to our housing area, but taxis are aplenty. Although, they have been known to take advantage of this insufficiency. There are no train services to our home.
The closest commercial landmark is Martrade, and another kilometre away is Publika @ Solaris Dutamas. It has ample eateries, pubs, shopping outlets, a supermarket, even a food court, hair salons, spas, electrical outlets, etc. Please check their site for a complete list of services.
Close to our home is the Duta Bus Terminal, where you can buy bus tickets for between RM30 - RM50 to go up north. You will need to go to a different station if you want to travel down south and to Singapore.
There is so much to share. And I am more than happy to make your visit to Malaysia one that is picture perfect. Do get in touch with me should you require specific information.
(I am new to this site and have yet to upload pictures. Please be patient and give me a day to do so. In the meantime, please use the Net to search for the necessary.)
