I love color and Ann's home is filled with it inside and out. We had a wonderful stay with Ann and she made a delicious breakfast for us each morning before we headed out to hike. We like dogs and enjoyed her three bassets, Cowboy, Flash and Josie. Her home is close to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios and the Saguaro West National Park, plus check out Tiny's Bar very nearby for the best hamburgers in Tucson. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Tucson. Thanks Ann!

This was the weirdest airbnb experience of my life. We use airbnb often, and I also do lots of business travel through hotels. The customer service I experienced this weekend was the worst I have ever seen. If it had been a hotel chain, I would have spoken to management and submitted a formal complaint through corporate headquarters. The home is lovely and the location is great if you want to get away, out of the city. The host treated us with disrespect throughout the weekend--angry glances, huffing, calling names, being clearly agitated, etc. If you don't want to open your home, don't do it. We paid a good amount of money to stay there and it was profoundly uncomfortable. Her disrespect hung a dark cloud over the weekend, and we spent as little time as possible at the home due to the discomfort. I would have preferred room stay at as motel six. And I cannot stand motel six.

A very nice relaxing stay in a quiet neighborhood. We agree with the many others who have praised Ann's breakfasts, and she took care to find out how we liked our eggs, coffee, etc. Her house is in a secluded neighborhood that borders the desert. Lovely for sunrises and sunsets, and within driving distance of the Desert Museum and nearby national forests. Ann made several excellent recommendations of restaurants. You will definitely want a car to get to activities, meals, etc. as it is some distance to the nearest groceries and restaurants. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Ann's home is top of the line and unique and personal at the same time. There are five environments and I enjoyed them all. First there is your room, which for me was perfect. Aesthetic, private and supremely comfortable. Second there is the common space which as other's have stated is akin to being in an art gallery besides all the comforts of home. Third there is the space outside "inside the wall" which had more than one spot to sit and sun including the hot tube. Fourth there is the space "outside" the wall with numerous little special places and plain old wild mini desert. Fifth there is the neighborhood where I found two "lifer" birds and witnessed the brightest rainbow I've ever seen replete with a scenic backdrop. So take your pick. Its all good !

Response from Ann:
Lynn was so easy to host. She is welcome to return anytime. Lynn found a hawk nest near by so I went and took photos for the birders who stay with me.

If you are looking for a large beautiful home in a residential neighborhood out in the countryside about a 1/2 hour from downtown Tucson this is a perfect place for you. There is so much wildlife right nearby. We saw bunnies, coyotes and and wide variety of birds. The Saguaro national park and the Tucson Desert Museum is very near by. On another note, Ann makes a fantastic breakfast.

I have lived in the west for 30 years. I love Tucson. There is so much to see and do here. I work full time from my home. Yes the hot tub works, I love it in the early morning when the birds are singing the sun up.
