Other Things to Note
Do not let dogs out of the courtyards. My dogs are Bassets bred for rabbit hunting. They will go on scent and get lost and they all three would go in different directions. They know to not go out of gate, but if you leave open and walk away they will go out.
Breakfast on the table by 8am latest. Earlier works better for me as I work from home and start at 8am. Quiet by 10pm, no smoking. Well behaved pets and children only. When using kitchen rinse dishes and put in dishwasher. Leave counters clean. You may use the refrigerator to store items. I have a clean, organized kitchen, keep it that way.
Bassets are not allowed outside the courtyard. Please be aware of dogs when going in and out the gate.
Ann is a fabulous host who went above and beyond to create a memorable time for me in her home. I stayed with Ann for 5 days and she happily accommodated me, all my art and camera gear plus let me fill her refrigerator with all my food goodies. Her home is spotless, the backyard a delight, and the location is quiet. If you like a great view of the mountains, Gila woodpeckers nesting in Saguaros, and going to sleep with the sound of coyotes howling in the distance you will love staying with Ann! I already have plans to return!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Ann's place. She is a gracious hostess and made us feel very welcome. The yummy breakfasts were a real bonus. Although the room we were in is a part of her house, it is well isolated from the rest of the house so we felt very comfortable. Ann has done a remarkable job with landscaping--the mornings were a great time for a casual stroll, coffee in one hand, binoculars in the other.
Nice quiet neighborhood where we felt comfortable leaving a few things in our (locked) car at night.
My sister and I stayed briefly at Ann's house. Beautiful place and surroundings but we both felt ungenuinely welcome.
What can I say Ann is amazing, she's warm loving and very accommodation her Bassett hounds are sweet and gentle animals the pictures do not do the accommodations justice I felt very welcome and comfortable in her home great energy and I loving atmosphere on my way there I was struck from behind Ann came out to make sure I was okay which meant a lot to me if you're going to stay in the Tucson area I would highly recommend choosing these accommodations. To top it off Ann made a delicious frittata for breakfast and we shared a margarita the night before top-notch I will definitely be returning giving the opportunity
Ann was an accommodating hostess. She served wonderful Southwestern breakfasts that suited the environment perfectly. I liked her dogs, and as soon as they realized you were staying in the house they settled right in to their routines. Her home and grounds are lovely and we were welcome to enjoy the patio and yard. Either Ann or her son were always available if we needed assistance. Many thanks for a nice stay.
What a great find. Ann was a delightful host and it was a relaxing reprieve after a long drive from Los Angeles. She has an arty place, very colorful and depicts the Tucson flair. Everything was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was gourmet and wonderful. I loved the location near my favorite mineral/gem store and very close to the (west) Saguaro National Park. The back yard is magical and since I had a headache she was kind enough to arrange a wonderfully talented massage therapist to give me a morning massage on the back, very private patio. I would definitely stay there again. Even though I am not a dog person, I loved her dogs, so that was an added bonus!
I have lived in the west for 30 years. I love Tucson. There is so much to see and do here. I work full time from my home. Yes the hot tub works, I love it in the early morning when the birds are singing the sun up.
