This is a 100% private room with Lock and key situated in the heart of Williamsburg. The room is at the front of my Art/Design studio that I share with my Mom. Inside your room is a kitchenette with microwave - fridge- Kettle - toaster. There is a 40 Inch flat screen TV with NETFLIX and WiFi and a fold down couch. My Mom has a living space towards the back of the studio which is a large distance from your room so you will feel quite private. I have two other Airbnb is this apartment. The bathroom has a shower and toilet and is shared with my mom and other guests. There is a golden retriever and siamese cat that live with my mom. They are very friendly but do not enter the shared space other than to exit for walks. We are 5 min walk to the Williamsburg Market and East River Ferry and 6 blocks down Bedford ave to the L train. 3 stops to Union Square. You are also 2 mins from the Williamsburg bridge which you can walk or ride across to the Lower East Side. Williamsburg has just been crowned the music and art capital of New York State. I am an Australian who has been living here 2 years now and am often over seas which is when i rent out my place. As some one who came initially on a holiday myself I urge you to check this area out even if you don't stay with me.

June's room in Williamsburg is perfectly located, clean and comfortable. June was very friendly and welcoming and I would recommend to any budget conscious traveller to NY
I chose this apartment because I was looking for somewhere very cheap just to stay for a night before flying out. While it was alright, I definitely feel like I could and should have found somewhere better.
Pros: June is very nice. The place is very easy to find.
Cons: The major issue I had with this place was that it is not built as a bedroom. I think of AirBnB as a forum for folks to share their homes, and this set-up does not feel homey or all that safe. You weave through several dingy hallways to come to another very narrow hallway and a plywood door that is locked with a padlock. While I knew the room was small, it is not even really a true room; it is several pieces of drywall in the middle of a larger room (there are 3-4 tiny "rooms" or cubicles in this space). As such, there is no ventilation and even with a fan, it was very hot. Second, you are sharing a bathroom with all of the other rooms. Overall, it feels more like a dorm or hostel, which is not quite what it is listed as. If possible, I would steer clear and try to find a place that's actually a room in someone's home instead of a room that's just been created for AirBnB. I did not sleep well at all, and am thankful I was not there for longer.
Just got back from a lovely stay with June. This Unit is exactly as described. It's small, clean and in the best neighbourhood in Brooklyn. June was lovely, made me feel very comfortable. If your looking for a quiet, unique place to lay your head after adventuring around the city, then this the place for you! Also the TV was a bonus, got to watch a couple movies during my stay.
Thanks June! I'll definitely be back.
June was a great host and the location was prime! Getting checked in was a breeze and June gave a fantastic orientation!
June hosted us during our visit. She was very kind, helpful and lovely lady.
Location couldn't be better. Accomodation is as promised and is good to doing it's job. During our stay it was very warm weather and since there is no airconditioning in the room is very warm.
June was a great host and the room was clean, accommodating, and exactly as described. We were packing very light for an overnight trip and June provided washcloths and soap for us which we definitely appreciated. All of our plans for the evening were within walking distance from our room. Great location and great price.
Vincent's instructions were very clear and June was so friendly. We had no problems finding the place and upon arrival it looked exactly like the pictures in the listing. We highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a cheap and friendly place to stay in New York.
