Inside your room is a kitchenette with microwave - fridge- Kettle - toaster. There is a 40 Inch flat screen TV with NETFLIX and WiFi and a fold down couch. My Mom has a living space towards the back of the studio which is a large distance from your room so you will feel quite private. I have two other Airbnb is this apartment. The bathroom has a shower and toilet and is shared with my mom and other guests. There is a golden retriever and siamese cat that live with my mom. We are 5 min walk to the Williamsburg Market and East River Ferry and 6 blocks down Bedford ave to the L train. 3 stops to Union Square. You are also 2 mins from the Williamsburg bridge which you can walk or ride across to the Lower East Side. Williamsburg has just been crowned the music and art capital of New York State. We stayed at June's place four nights and it was just what we expected. The place is small but all you need to spend a couple of days for cheap in NYC. June is a lovely host and she gave us all we needed. Don't hesitate staying here, it's really worth it for the price.
June was really welcoming and help me with everything I needed. She answered all my questions. It was really nice stay. Definitely can recommend this!
We were very heartily welcomed by June, she showed us everything we needed and gave us directions for a very nice walk. The neighborhood was very nice and lively. The room was just as described and a perfect budget option. We didn't sleep very well as we're not used to the plastic covering the mattress that was under the linen but other than that it was very comfortable.
It was an excellent stay at this Williamsburg bungalow, would definitely recommend the place due to it's excellent location and decency. I took a bus into Chinatown and was able to get a quick cab ride across the wburg bridge. This made managing my baggage easy and painless. Similarly, I took the train into JFK and getting a ride to a J stop (myrtle) was 11$. Most of all, the host was superbly accommodating and a treat to know. What else can I say, at this price, you can't find a place as nice.
The host was extremely kind, very helpful, and always available to answer questions! Great room, reasonable price, and though it's very small, it's definitely more than enough room if you're planning on spending most of your time out and about the city!
We couldn't check in until around 10-11 the first night of our reservation. We e-mailed Vincent's mother, Jane, who took care of us that weekend, and told her about getting in late. She e-mailed back promptly saying not to worry and to call her when we arrived. We got into the building and called her. She came up from the apartment in only minutes and since we are Deaf, she was still very friendly and wanting to work with us. She made sure we understood her via written communication. She showed us around and when we didn't understand how the keys worked, she took the time to take us out of the apartment to show us which key worked for this and that. Keep in mind that this was all done at 10-11 at night. She was so sweet.
When we got settled in our room, which was smaller than we thought, we couldn't complain at all because there was heat, a full bathroom, bed, microwave, television with cable and internet available. The sheets and bedroom were clean, and we were able to sleep well. The heat was a little high, but manageable with using no cover sheets. There was a fan in the room if we wanted to use it (but we didn't).
We had come in my Jeep, and the street parking is free AND SAFE. The area outside the apartment is a really nice suburb of New York City, in Brooklyn. It's close to trains and a lot of good food.
The front door is not locked, but Jane is always in the apartment, and the building is very quiet, so our things were safe. I was able to feel comfortable leaving my laptop and other valuables there when we went out to roam the City.
My fiance and I agree that we'd come back here again. Thank you for letting us stay in your apartment, Vincent, Alice & Jane!
June, Vincent's mother, was very welcoming. I just slept over one night since I was in NY for an interview. Williamsburg is my favorite location for getting into Manhattan in short time and for an affordable price. If staying here, be prepare as a backpacker: there is no kitchen, and the space is very limited (just like in the picture). It accommodates one person, but very tight for two. Neither cabinet or drawers to place your staff.

We have travelled a lot together and believe it's all about the journey, not the destination. I like to get lost and discover things off the beaten track.
