June was lovely. She made us feel welcome and was a great host. Our online contact with Vincent & Alice was nice and to-the-point.
Great location. The atmosphere in this part of Williamsburg is great. The good part of hipster.
The room itself is really small and it was a bit hot at nights. The TV was huge!! It was a good place to stay because we weren't there a lot. We were glad we could start our trip here.
Vincent's mother June was a great host and always present when we would need her. Vincent provided all necessary information in advance and June welcomed us in Williamsburg. The location was perfect, close to two Subway stops, the East River Ferry and all necessary shops and bars in the neighborhood. The room was exactly as described, clean and tidy. Best value for the money!
June was very welcoming when we got there. The room was very tiny but that was expected as the description and pictures illustrated that. Room and bed were clean but a sponge is not something I can comfortably sleep on as it hurts my hips. There were no windows in the room so airflow was little and it was very hot. Shower and bathroom were very clean! The place was close to amenities and fun places. It was a little concerning that we could not look our room door while we left for the day and the apartments door also did not lock. All in all it was a good place to go if you are out and about most of the time!
We like our stay! Everything was clean and the host is super friendly. Free wifi was very helpful. I'll go back there next time I'm visiting.
Great price for a very central location, with nice amenities (tv, netflix) minifridge). The hostess was very nice and made you feel very welcome. The one BIG caveat that people should be alert to is that there is minimal security: The door to the apartment is left ajar and there is nothing to protect your valuables in your room than a hasp. My hostess said it is not a problem that you cannot lock your room because she is always in the apartment. The truth is that she is in and out and even when she is in the apartment, her hearing and the setup of the apartment makes it so it is very easy for someone (there are 2 other rooms rented out) who doesnt belong there to sneak in. That may be okay for some, but maybe not for a first-time visiter to the city. Also, there is no ventilation at all in the room, and because of the security situation, and other airbnb'ers you dont want to leave the door to the room open during the day to air out. Otherwise great!
