Other Things to Note
Alberta Arts/Concordia neighborhood is a great place to live and visit. Lots to do within walking distance and easy to hop a bus downtown. If you have a car parking on the street is easy for the A#1 guest room.
Please see guidebook for just a few of the places we love!
Please be mindful that this is a fairly quiet, family neighborhood. Linens (towels, blankets, sheets) are for room use only, not for outside. Smoking is permitted outside on patio. Please separate recycling (mainly glass, returnables, and paper) from trash in outside containers. Portland only has trash pick up twice a month but recycling weekly so it is important to keep trash to a minimum. Please let us know if you need anything during your stay. Thank You!
Tyan and Lisa's place was perfect for our trip to Portland. The room was clean, comfy, and offered a ton of amenities including towels, a fan, a TV, and more. The private entrance/exit was super convenient and allowed us to come and go as we pleased. Plus, the TriMet bus system has stops right near by for going to the airport (#72) and going downtown (#17). Alberta was an incredible little town, one that we probably wouldn't have visited otherwise. Overall, a great experience just a little ways outside downtown Portland.
The room is cozy, clean and the bed was really comfortable. We loved the separate entrance and private patio as they allowed us to enjoy our privacy. We also appreciated Tyan and Lisa's attention to details - the room is fully equipped with everything you need. And the location was great - we loved being able to walk to Alberta every morning. Overall we had a great stay!
Very clean bedroom/bath in a great location. Private and quiet. Our intent was to bike Portland's neighborhoods, and this location, right off Alberta St was perfect. Room for our bikes (as long as there was no rain). The unit was small, as was the mattress, which aggravated my back with a bit of a concave surface, and the shower stall is equally sized for small and/or flexible individuals. Very reasonable rent, but remember that extra cleaning fee.
Glad you enjoyed the location and found the room to be clean. It looks like this may be your first Airbnb experience and it differs in a few key ways from a hotel/motel experience. Most Airbnb (and VRBO) hosts charge a cleaning fee and this is stated in the description as well as listed separately on your charges from Airbnb. We think most people recognize the cleaning fee is cover the time it takes to prepare a room for the next guest and is not a license to leave a mess. We have opted to have a lower nightly rate with cleaning fee rather than charge more per night. Regarding the bed being to small for you we clearly state it is a full size bed of medium firmness. The bed is less than a year old. The room size and configuration can not accommodate a queen or king bed. We also post a photo of the shower so people know it is a stall as well as giving the square footage of the room. We want guests to be happy and have a good experience so we describe out room in detail to avoid disappointment. All this is reflected in our nightly price of $52/55 (weekdays/weekends) plus $25 cleaning fee. We are in an excellent location, in a quiet neighborhood and offer a great value. We appreciate how clean you left the room. We encourage you to carefully read a hosts room description before booking. Thank You
Tyan & Lisa's cozy space had all the essentials that we needed for a quick trip to Portland. The room was clean, comfortable and so convenient to nearby Alberta St. Hosts were very responsive and onsite parking was appreciated. My husband and I had a great weekend stay.
Very cute and cozy single room with private bath. I love the neighborhood, such great creative food very nearby. The room felt very private with the separate entrance, parking was easy and Tyan was quickly responsive to my needs when I called. My husband and I had a really great stay.
Tyan and Lisa's guest room is private, clean, comfortable, and convenient. We had everything we needed (towels, dishes, fridge, blow dryer, heater, etc), the bed was comfortable, parking was easy, and we were able to come and go as we pleased. The private patio was great, as it provided us with a safe place for our bikes. The location is good - right off of Alberta close to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Although we didn't have an opportunity to meet Tyan and Lisa, they responded quickly to our emails and provided very clear info so we had no troubles finding the place and checking ourselves in. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an independent stay.
The room was perfect, exactly as described. Tons of amazing food and shops right around the corner. We would highly recommend to anyone who is coming to Portland for the first time. Easy access to transit and just a quick bus ride to downtown.
We would definitely stay here again!
Thank you, Tyan and Lisa!!
