The Neighborhood

The Log Cabin Motor Court was originally a place where weary travelers would stop and camp for the night on a blanket of pine needles beneath the tall pine trees. Next came the log cabins built by locals and travelers as they passed through. The first cabin built in 1929. These cabins were used in the filming of Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum and are rich in history. Come visit and experience the friendliness of the motor court, sit on your porch and chat with your neighbors or relax under the pines with a good book.
