The Space

Hi airbnbers!

Feel welcome to my cosy flat. It is located less than 10 minutes walk away from the bus/train stations and from Girona city centre.

The room has either a single bed or twin beds, as per your request, both with very comfortable mattresses. The window has blinds to ensure you can sleep till late if you wish to, and it faces a courtyard, so it is really quiet and bright.
The bathroom will be shared with me and another guests if the other room is booked.

The flat is located in Sant Narcís neighbourhood, a fifteen minute walk to the old town. City bus stop is nearly at doorstep.
There are buses to the airport every hour, but with a prior arrangement I can also pick you up or drive you there for a fee.
I have hosted dozens of friends and all of them have left with a smile. You will feel at home for sure here, either if is just a stopover between flights or if you wish to explore the area.

I am a literature student and a vegetarian foodie, good humoured, conversation lover and with a passion for travel.
I come from Barcelona and I have been living in Girona for about six years intermittently.

I have been a chef for many years, and you can make an advance request for a gourmet/traditional/vegetarian delicious meal for an additional fee.
Otherwise there are a few bars in the area that offer simple food like sandwiches, tapas and salads, and are cheaper than the ones in the town centre. I can also help you if you want food to be delivered home.

Everybody friendly ;)

  • Dear Sara, great thanks for your hospitality during our stay in Girona! Apartments are really nice and cozy, location is perfect and we easily reached amazing old town and central railway. I definitely recommend Sara's place for staying in Girona. She is intelligent and interesting person, who helps her guests and could recommend nice places in the city.

  • Sara is a warm and gracious host! The apartment was easy to find with the directions, and was exactly as described. I only wished I could have stayed longer.

  • First time using AirB&B could not have been better. Sara's apartment inmediately made me feel at home. The place is located very closed to the station. The room was clean and quiet and the atmosphere of the house was both welcoming and peaceful. Sara is an incredible host, very friendly and respectful, that will guide you in your stay. She gave me fantastic tips on things to do, see and eat. I feel really grateful and lucky for having found her. I'll definetely stay there again and recommended to anyone.

  • Sara truly is a wonderful and generous host. She took time to hear what we were interested in and gave us tons of great advice. Her home is colorful, funky and fun. She let us use her microwave, but otherwise could not cook in the kitchen.
She leaves a nice little breakfast for you and offers to cook for you as well!

  • I stayed with Sara for four nights. She gave me very clear instruction to get her place and reminded me of the construction around the train station. The location is perfect. She is lovely and so is her place. It is really like a home. I had dinner with her one night and it was awesome. She is friendly and good at cooking :D

  • Sara was an amazing and friendly woman who goes out of her way to help you. I stayed at her place for one night. The place is about 15 min from the bus/train station and is imminently walkable. The room is clean and private. When I left Girona to visit Barcelona, I forgot my personal pack. She called me up and even offered to bring it back to me as she was on her way to Barcelona that weekend as well.

I am a seeker.   I have lived 35 years, around 20 in Barcelona, the rest in distant places: high peaks, large and medium cities, fishing villages, rainy islands. I have forgotten countless books in many bedrooms. I have traveled and I have written about it in school notebooks, moleskine diaries, napkins, emails, on the back of train tickets, postcards. Scent colector. I look at every new place with new eyes. I have mixed, amalgamated, melted, and absorbed all those experiences, and then cooked them for my guests or in the kitchens of my hosts.   I have learned almost everything I know - it's not much - by talking to people from five continents: shepherds who had never seen the sea, Coronel Tapioca explorers, love and money immigrants, nomads, grannies and grandpas, cosmopolitan folks, people very proud of their unpronounceable name, routine fugitives, nephews / nieces from all over the world ...   When I travel I pack a travel guide, a few clothes, presents for new friends, a dictionary, lots of useless whatifs, a brand new diary. When I come back I bring even less clothes, books, recipes, spices, gifts for old friends, museum catalogues, postcards, a pile of recently acquired nostalgia, a crumpled diary. I speak Spanish and Catalan, because I heard them during childhood, English by pure desire of communication with the world, with a variety of accents, a bit of French because of the Rs, circumstantial Italian. ----------------------------------- Buscadora. He recolectado olores.
