We have a large 1950ish, 2 story, 10 bedroom, 5 bathroom home. Currently we are painting and making small repairs to make an even nicer environment for our guests. Please excuse our little messes or the minor rearranging of furniture. :)
This room has two twin beds and accommodates 2 people comfortably. We have antique furniture and like to think that it gives the feeling of home which you cant get in a hotel. There are four drawers in the dresser to store your belongings as well as closet space.
*Please note: We change and launder our comforters frequently so you may have a different design than pictured.
**IF THIS ROOM IS NOT AVAILABLE OR YOU NEED MORE ROOMS TO ACCOMODATE MORE PEOPLE DURING THE TIME FRAME YOU NEED, WE HAVE 3 OTHER ROOMS :)
See: "Home Sweet Home", "Private Area", or "The Budget Room".
Besides your room and shared bathroom, guests will have access to THE PARLOR and THE PATIO "Charito". Wifi can be accessed in your room but is strongest in the parlor and the parlor doors can be closed if privacy is needed. No other rooms are permitted for guest use.
There is a large shared bathroom (with 1 or 2 other people). Sometimes you may be lucky enough to have it to yourself if the other room remains vacant.
Guests who are bringing their laptop may access Wifi in the parlor 24/7. If you are not bringing your laptop, you may use the internet cabin that is a short 2 minute walk from our home.
It is best to click on the "Amenities" tab so you know just exactly what we do and do not offer.
Interaction with Guests
We offer basic accomodations at very reasonable rates for our guests who are looking for a safe place to shower and sleep so that they may spend the rest of their time getting to know Lima. We do our very best to give you a warm welcome and make you feel comfortable in our home during your stay.
We are in and out of our home on a regular basis but Antonio is very good about checking in on guests often to make sure your stay is going well and to ask if there are any questions. If there is anything we forget or don't think about, please do not hesitate to ask!
We live in a safe neighborhood called Barrio Medico. It is located right on the border of the Miraflores/Surquillo District. We are closest to Angamos and Tomas Marsano (cuadra 17 Angamos) and Roca Y Bologna and Tomas Marsano (cuadra 9 Roca y Bologna).
Staying with us you will experience two worlds. One of locals enjoying the same malls, shops, markets, parks and walks that we do and the other being close enough to enjoy many tourist areas as well. THE HEART OF MIRAFLORES (PARQUE KENNEDY) IS A 25 MINUTE WALK FROM OUR HOME. If you do not like to walk, it is only about a 5 minute taxi ride away for about 6-7 Peruvian soles which is less than 2 Euros or $2.50 USD, VERY CHEAP :)
Barranco is about a 10 minute taxi ride and Central Lima is about 20-25 minutes. If you are not in a hurry and want to save money, there is always the option of taking a bus too :)
SAN ISIDRO and SAN BORJA are to the north
MIRAFLORES is to the south and west
SURCO is to the east
Taxi's are easily accessible right outside our front door and the nearest bus stop is about a 5 minute walk from our home.
For your convenience, we do offer transportation from the airport for a fee. Please inquire.
Other Things to Note
We have 24 hour check in , however, please take note of our set check in/check out times and plan your stay accordingly.
Check IN is at 1pm or after. *
*If you wish to check in at an earlier time, you will need to pay for an extra night to guarantee that the room is available for you.
Check OUT is at 11 AM SHARP or before.
We respect the privacy of our guests and never enter your room. We also expect our guests to respect our privacy. Please note the only place a guest has access to besides their room and shared bathroom is the PARLOR and PATIO CHARITO. There will be no exceptions.
No smoking inside house.

make sure faucets are turned off all the way.

Antonio is a very friendly person.
Very easy to contact him, and helpful.
The flat is perfectly located for me. Near Miraflores and in a quiet neighborhood.
It was very clean!
Antonio was a great host. The first night we arrive he wait for us and give us a lot of information about what to do and not to do in Lima. He explained also the prices of the bus, taxis and meals. The room was good and the house is good located. Don't attempt to reach the center by bus in the morning
The stay in Antonios House was very good. Antonio and his family are very friendly and nice peoples. Antonio was very helpful with the organization of my tours and gave me a lot of good tips.
The room was very clean and I wasn't missing anything.
Antonio was very welcoming, he explained to us about the area and how to get to the city, very helpful. The area is nice and quiet and had a big shopping plaza nearby.

Hello and welcome!
A little bit about us...
I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I moved to the United States when I was 16, learned English and graduated from Clovis High School in Fresno, California and then moved to Sacramento. After living in the United States for 22 years I wanted to move back to Peru with my family (2011) to share my culture, language and country with my children and wife. I speak both Spanish and English fluently.
Tina, was born in Concord, Massachusetts and moved to the Sacramento area in California when she was a child. She went to American River College and has an A.S. Degree. She speaks English and some Spanish.
We have been married for 17 years and have 4 children that keep us busy! My mother, Senora Carmen also lives here. If you are in the bottom part of the house, you will see her cooking in the kitchen most days :)
Tina has a full time job that allows her to work from home on the computer so she also tends to answer most of the inquiries that we receive. You won't see much of her as a result and when she is not working she is taking care of the house and children.
Hosting is my full time job. I have been working with tourists for a little more than three years now. I do not just hand you the keys and leave you alone. I spend a lot of time with my guests, making sure they are comfortable, answer any questions that they have, and giving some suggestions along the way. I do my best to make sure your experience in Lima is a nice one.
