Other Things to Note
Please have a photo of yourself and remember that you are booking my home, not a hotel room. I will treat you as a guest, not a customer, and I ask for the same in return!
No smoking inside. There is a balcony outside the apartment where you can enjoy you're cigarette, cigar, or pipe.
You are free to use the kitchen as long as you clean up after yourself!
Great location if you want to save some $$. Christopher is reachable at all times. Keep in mind this place is on the 6th floor and there is no elevator. Good workout!
Our stay at "Columbia Castle" was the perfect way to end our US road trip. The appartment is beautifully furnished with lots of great details. So cozy and comfortable! And it has everything you may need. The highlight though of course is the view of Manhattan Skyline from the living room! But then again, maybe the location is the real attraction of this place. Just around the corner from Brooklyn Hights Promenade and Park in a quiet nabourhood with a few boutiques, cafés and restaurant and a short walk to the buzz of Court Street... I don't think you could find a better location in Brooklyn. And Christopher is reachable and happy to help at all times - in case his great "guide to the nabourhood" doesn't answer all your needs.
my husband and i enjoyed our stay a columbia castle very much and would return for another visit as a couple or with our teenagers as there is a second bedroom to accommodate.
christopher was attentive to our needs and available but not overbearing. the apartment is inviting and comfortable, decorated with a discerning eye and located within easy walking distance of the brooklyn bridge park, plentiful dining options, and easy access to transportation to elsewhere in brooklyn or into manhattan. we loved the market below for coffee and breakfast sandwiches!
Bowser's apartment provided a fantastic location for a long weekend in BK. Located quite literally around the corner from Brooklyn Bridge Park and above a fantastic bodega, the apartment is ideal for getting around and making the most of the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. Bowser was there for our check-in and was kind enough to make sure we had everything we needed to feel at home. He's made sure the place is well stocked for any traveler's (or local's) needs and you can tell he truly loves the place. However, all other wonderful amenities aside, the view of Manhattan from the apartment's window trumps all of my other NYC/BK Airbnb experiences to date! I would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend the place to anyone who wants to feel at home while visiting.
Christopher has been very easy and flexible.
That night was great and my friends enjoyed their short stay there.
The view from the kitchen is great. on the other side the street is peaceful, beautiful and quiet.
This apartment really has the charm of BK heights.
I would definitely try to have my friends stay there next time
The nicest neighborhood in Brooklyn with a bunch of coffee shops and stores, and so close to Manhattan! I rented Christopher's apartment for my mom and three siblings when they came to visit me from Sweden. He has an awesome place, even if it's small it's very comfortable, clean and has beautiful furnishing with cool details. Christopher is super nice and relaxed, I picked up the key in the afternoon and my family arrived late at night so I could just meet them there and let them in. He has a folder with great tourist info about the area, maps, umbrellas we could borrow and the wi-fi worked great. Easy for me to take the subway from my place to the apartment and hang out with my family. Close to Trader Joe's as well! My family was very happy with their stay and having grown up playing Nintendo and one of the sisters studying to become a game developer, we were just thrilled to see that the name of the wi-fi was Bowser's Castle! ;)
Christopher's place was great and clean and exactly like the pictures. It was was enough room for 3 adults, excellent location on the cutest street close to many subway lines. I never met christopher in person but he was very prompt with communication and provided all the information we needed for a great stay! Would definitely stay here again!

About the Host, Christopher
I am a 27 year old theater artist and director. I graduated from NYU in 2010 and now live and work in New York City.
I enjoy cooking and good conversation, and definitely love to travel. Ideally, somebody who stays with me, would be somebody who is comfortable hanging out, and sharing their perspective and personality. I have a somewhat sporadic work schedule and when I get the chance to be at the apartment I want everyone to feel at home. As you are my guest, I will provide hospitality and the usual amenities, but I will also think of you as a short-term roommate who shares in taking care of the space. My best guests from the past are people I now call my friends.
