My friends call me Maury and I was born and raised in Santiago. My search for new horizons has led me to establish my home in far away Montreal, for some 12 years now. I work as a Front desk agent/Concierge in a downtown hotel. I'm very much into composting (tumbler and worms). I embrace a sustainable way of living that is caring to the environment; trying to live by its values: reduce, reuse and recycle.
In a nutshell, I am an English teacher living in Santiago. I have traveled to Europe and USA. I'm proud to say that I have almost been in all regions of my long country. Maury and I have a strange bond in life. We once were unofficial in-laws when I used to date his older brother back in high school. We kept contact over the years and here we are as partners in crime!
I will be handing out the keys to you, explaining all the details and being your best friend in Santiago, promised!
Every inch of space has been considered with you in mind, come see it for yourself!!
Just ask! we'll be happy to answer them in English, Spanish or French

The accommodation was a nicely appointed one bedroom apartment located in a quiet residential neighborhood not too far removed from public transport and restaurant/eateries. Although our hosts were not present to meet and greet us or check us out, keys were left together with instructions for use of wifi, and a card for public transport (which we added some credit to and made good use of); and a mobile (cell) phone (which we didn't need to use. Still, a very thoughtful arrangement). Contact for help and advice was only an email away. Our hosts were every responsive and answered our queries and met our needs very quickly, even arranging a taxi for our departure. Public transport in Santiago was very easy to use, even allowing two of us to use a single transport card. compared to the two other AirBnBs we used this was easily the best and most pleasant one to experience, although our first apartment stay in Buenos Aires wasn't too bad either.
If any improvements could be suggested, perhaps providing a couple of current local tourist maps would be nice. (There was a Lonely Planet guide for Chile provided in the apartment and that had some maps to help us get our bearings.) Satellite TV for BBC or CNN news for us English-speakers would be icing on the proverbial cake.
My wife and I spent three nights here. Everything was 100 %. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. .
The balcony was also perfect for some sun tanning.
That we could use the bip card ( metro) and the cellular phone was a great advantage
We did not use the swimming pool on the roof , because we were too busy doing other things, but we did go and have a look at it, and it looked perfect.
This area close to Manuel Montt metro has many restaurants and stores, and it is very easy to find anything you may want.
Mauricio and Monica, our hosts, gave us perfect service . You can count on them.
The flat is really nice! Good size, nice balcony and view. Great swimming pool at the top of the building and nice neighborhood. Close to the subway station.
Mauricio and Monica are super hostess and were available to help with anything we needed.
We had a really great experience!
For people wishing to be immersed in the culture of Santiago while still enjoying all the comforts of a 5 star apartment, look no further, as this apartment is THE place to stay. While small and cozy, it has all the amenities and is perfect for a couple. The AC unit was invaluable as Santiago was very hot. The apartment's view of Cerro San Cristobal is breathtaking. The location is in a quiet residential area of Providencia but close to many restaurants and shops. The metro system in Santiago is extremely efficient and the metro is just a few blocks away from the apartment. The hosts were very easy to deal with and are very responsive to any needs that we had. We definitely would recommend this apartment.
Gracias, thank you, merci!
After staying in a lot of hotels and hostels it was great to have an whole appartment for our own. The building is in a very safe neighbourhood. The appartment is at the eight floor and has a nice balcony with a great view over Cerro San Christobal. The pictures do not lie!! It's tasteful furnished and quiet. Last but not least we have to mention Monica (Mauricios sister) who answered all our questions even though she wasn't in the city at the time.
We really loved this place and would recommend this to everybody!!!
We had a very good experience in the apartment of Mauricio. Mauricio and Monica were very helpful. The appartment is situated in a very nice area of Santiago. The appartment self is very nice and comfortable. Our stay was very nice.
Mauricio was great! He responded quickly to emails, and his partner Monica, who met us at the condo, was very professional and helpful. The condo is furnished with a cell phone (all you have to do is add money to phone number which is very easy to do) and BIP card for the subway and buses.
We needed guidance how to get from the airport to the condo and they provided a detailed list with several options of transportation. Also, Monica assisted us with restaurant suggestions as well as shopping and site seeing details.
It was very hot and the A/C was indispensible. We had been traveling for two weeks, so using the laundry and dryer was a timely plus.

cozy apartment, awesome location, greatest hosts!
Mauricio's apartment is top notch. It is in a safe neighborhood and is very clean and quiet. It comes with the kitchen fully furnished. I had friends over for a fish taco dinner one night. Many different restaurants are within a few blocks. Mexican, Middle Eastern, Chilean, German, even an Irish pub. His assistants, Monica and Claudia are just an email or phone call away to assist with any concern. I definitely will reserve this property on my next trip to Santiago.
